If you have time for Facebook…

If you have  time for Facebook, you have time for yoga, for meditation, for creative visualization, for making a list of future events you want to pre-pave some intention for. If your life isn’t going exactly the way you’d like, if you have time for Facebook, you have time to create a business plan, set some goals, seek a better job, a better life.   Imagine that.  No really, IMAGINE that.

If you love the sacred and despise the ordinary, you are still bobbling in the ocean of delusion…~Linji Yixnan

If I made my being in love be attached to any one individual, then the love would go when the individual did. I’m in love with the Ever Present Reality that is Now, and many people can flow by on that river. I don’t need to drag them onto the bank with me and rub molecules to feel supreme satisfaction on all levels. That’s all perception and I’m the one in control of that.

The ones who teach us the hard lessons are seldom the ones who benefit by our behavioral change, rather it is those who come after that reap the rewards of our illumination.

What I did on New Year’s Day 2013

This morning I checked my lottery tickets for the past week and see I won $555 in the Christmas Eve Fantasy Five drawing.  I love the 555, Doreen Virtue says, “Buckle your seatbelts. A major life change is upon you.  Perhaps this change is an answer to your prayers, so continue seeing and feeling yourself being at peace.”   I can’t wait to see what this year will bring. I drove across the causeway to the Indialantic boardwalk where Hwy 192 meets the ocean, and drove down to beach stairway No. 15.  I stood and watched the sun rise above the cloud line  for awhile, then I took a video of the waves crashing along the shore.  I watched a lone surf caster pulling in small pompano.  I left and drove south on US1 and decided to take a walk through Turkey Creek Sanctuary on my way home. I’m always surprised how few people are at the beach or in the parks at early morning.  To me, that is the magical time to go. Continue reading

I get 4 out of 5 in The Christmas Eve Fantasy Five drawing

Another win

Yay, I just checked my tickets and see I won $555 in the Christmas Eve Fantasy Five drawing.  I don’t spend a lot on tickets.  I buy a quick pick twice a week.  Any winnings I get from that I allow myself to buy other tickets with.  My rule is I can only play the lottery with lottery winnings.  This fills my lottery bank for 2013: a good sign!
A story of synchronicity: One afternoon I’d stopped at Circle K to buy my lotto quick pick.  The woman ahead of me bought a string of the $1 Monopoly scratch off tickets, and as soon as they were being handed to her, I said You need to buy three more. I didn’t mean to say it, I didn’t think about saying it, I just heard it when I said it.  She turned around and just looked at me like I was a loony and walked away.  I asked the clerk for 3 of the same tickets she just bought.  One paid $20, the second paid $5 and on the third I won $25.  I’d never bought those before and didn’t go in there thinking about anything other than getting my Lotto quick pick and deciding whether I wanted candy corn or not.

Years ago I began experiencing that dollars could come to me from all corners of the Universe without me having a clue where it would come from.  And I began to expect to be surprised.  I began to expect to be delighted with the ways the Universe provided me with bounty.  And I continue to be.  You can, too.  It just takes practice.  Expect a miracle.

New Year’s Eve Musings

No more alarm clock!

This week I’ve been cleaning and rearranging and getting the house back to Andrea order.  I’ve had a house guest the past year and worked around his schedule, which threw my own off. It was awesome to be forced to make changes I would not have otherwise made.  I love that. That keeps the neurons in my brain firing, keeping my mind flexible.  To make room, my free weights had gone into the hallway to free up the back bedroom, formerly my yoga and workout room.  I switched my yoga and meditation times to when I’d have privacy, since my guest was not into my daily practices.  I moved a meditation altar and the healing bench into my main office, so the living room looked more like a home and less like a temple.  This week I’ve been moving everything back into place, the living room looking once again like a temple.  I put away the coffeepot and sugar bowl and lined all my herbal teas up front and center in the beverage bar.  I unplugged the alarm clock!

He’s entitled to move on publicly seeking a new partner

Well meaning friends who feel the need to tell me he’s already moved on to publicly seeking a new partner: He’s entitled to do that. We’re not together nor want to be, we have different dreams and goals. He’s entitled to seek happiness. We all are.  It’s no biggie. Change happens. I don’t rewind.  I don’t need anyone to replace him. I wasn’t looking for anyone when he came along. I have the coolest life on the planet, regardless of who is or isn’t in it.  Thank you for your concern 🙂
