I had a headcold Thursday that had me sneezing all day and by Friday it had morphed into a cough as well. Today I pulled out the Mucinex so I could breathe. When I am feeling overworked, my body pretends it’s having a cold. Whether I treat it or not, it lasts a few days. “With breathing difficulties, your body is signaling that you want to take on too much and you will not admit any limitation, even to yourself. You want to seem strong. You want things to be done your way, and when that doesn’t happen, a cold is just the excuse you need to not be strong as you seem. The internal approach of ‘taking on too much’ is poisoning and suffocating you. Liberate yourself.” I found it interesting since while yes, I do work a lot, I don’t feel there’s any area of my life that things are not being done my way, nor that I need to be liberated from anything. I’m riding a happy wave with work, personal life, health. Continue reading

Know when to walk away
A fun and synchronistic day – definitely in the vortex today
They delivered the November issue of Horizons Magazine this morning. I awoke to 60 degree weather. I drank a cup of black tea and drove to the downtown post office. Afterward I took mags to Creative Energy and saw Morgana Starr, Jinn and Kathy Duncan and we chatted awhile outside in the cool morning air. A guy pulls up in a huge old beat up Continental and he’s blaring reggae music and does a five point landing to parallel park. We stop to watch him and dance to the music and when he gets out of the car, we give him a standing ovation! He laughed, we were all in the groove and having fun. Continue reading
Beware the narcissistic sociopath disguised as your “Soul Mate”
Paula Renee writes: Will You Be My Next Soul Mate? The idea of a soul mate is very romantic. To meet someone else in this world of billions who shares your same values, interests, desires, and goals is an exhilarating notion, don’t you think? It’s possible to meet someone who, at any given moment in time, is at the same place you are geographically and spiritually. But to think two people can remain on a joint wavelength over many, many years is, in my mind, a set up for failure. Yet, we continue to watch those silly movies that end in “happily ever after” and fool ourselves into thinking it’s real. Enter the narcissistic sociopath. A master at making the magic SEEM real just long enough to send you spiraling into a fog. The narcissist as our “SOUL MATE” is cunning and knows who to select and who to avoid. He will come on strong, sweep us off our feet. He seems to have the same values, interests, goals, philosophies, tastes, habits. He admires our intellect, ambition, honesty and sincerity. He wants to marry us quickly. He fakes integrity, appears helpful, comforting, generous in his ‘idealization’ of us phase. It never lasts. Eventually Jekyll turns into Hyde. Continue reading
Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio Oct 21 to Nov 10, 2013
All three of the Mercury retrograde zones in 2013, are in water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces). Mercury in water has a filter of feelings. So a retrograde in water signs adds the power of authentic emotion to what we’re saying, perceiving, picking up by vibes. This is one way to see how a retro recovery can enrich our lives. If we’ve denied how we really feel about a person or situation, Mercury re-aligns us with that emotional intel. It’s a great time to rediscover personal meaning, in life experiences, through memories, impressions, serendipity. This retro also inspires us to share with others what’s in the depths. A water sign Mercury turns its wheels on moods, so spend time in places that have atmosphere, are somehow magical, evocative. The imagination finds a groove with the right music or cinema, a book or friend, time in the wild or in a state of alert daydreaming. Continue reading
Life is too good to be dragged into your grumpiness
Wow, all the amazing good stuff life around us has to offer and some people choose to focus on little nitpicky stuff and try to drag us into it. It’s all like little Sally won’t let Billy play with her ball and they want us to take sides. Work it out, this is the stuff life is made of. Enjoy it. If you knew the amazing potential within you, you’d change your focus right away.
People’s generosity never ceases to amaze me
It never fails to delight me when friends and clients tip me or tithe to me. Wow.
And sometimes, enough is quite simply enough, isn’t it?
My Making Up The Bank Deposit Visualization
All week I’ve been doing a version of my Paypal visualization. In these visualization sessions, I am opening the mail and stamping checks for deposit and making out the deposit slip. I make myself feel giddy with joy that everyone who renews their subscription tips me an extra $3 or $8, so instead of a $22 payment, their check is for $25 or $30. I see checks with all sorts of 3 and 4 and 5 figure numbers on them, and I write them on the deposit slip. So far this week, seven people overpaid me when renewing their subscription. Three sent me $25 and four sent me $30. It’s nice to attract appreciation.
