Yearly Archives: 2017

What makes you feel connected? I used to think I was seeking the right person, the right job, the right place to live. What I discovered was I felt dis-connected from things around me, so I was seeking connection. Once I had the connection, everything around me became magic and relevant.

Human nature, muscle memory and psychological attachments are always interesting to watch play out. I grew up with Campbell’s chicken noodle soup being a comfort food. As an adult, when I began eating less processed food, my allergies cleared up. After a while of no processed food when I would eat a can of my beloved chicken noodle soup my sinuses would immediately clogged so I knew it was related. I also knew there was a lot of sodium. Even knowing that it will clog my sinuses up, I still crave Campbell’s chicken noodle soup when I have a cold. I come to realize the emotional satisfaction I get from eating the soup is worth the clogged head for an hour after. Kind of like when the dog sticks its head out the window to feel the wind in its face because it’s so worth it despite bugs in the teeth.

A Free Script To Reprogram Your Eating Habits

This is the script for a hypnosis recording I made a few years ago. Reading the script over, or having someone read it to you, is very effective. You may want to record it in your own voice so you can listen while you relax or sleep. Even if you fall asleep, your subconscious mind is still listening, so you can still expect change to occur.  In case of emergency, you will wake right up.

What to expect from the experience:

Give yourself 30 minutes alone where it is quiet. Know that while reading the script below, you could rouse yourself immediately in case of emergency.  Even under deep trance, you are still in control. Know that while reading, you could rouse yourself immediately if you need to.  Before working with this script, have an expectation of success. If you are skeptical of the process, or skeptical that it could work for you, that is ok. A fish doesn’t have to believe in the ocean. However, at least for the period of time you are working with this script, set aside all doubt and let go of all resistance. Allow your creative imagination to run free as you create vivid images in response to any words you may hear before you fall asleep. Continue reading

Spring Equinox and Ostara 2017

easter BlessedOstaraThis year, Spring begins with the vernal equinox, when the sun enters the sign of Aries on March 20 at 10:30 am EDT. The word equinox is derived from the Latin words meaning “equal night.” Days and nights are approximately equal everywhere and the Sun rises and sets due east and west.  Some early pagans celebrated the return of Spring with a festival in tribute to their Goddess of fertility and springtime, Eastre or Ostara.  Folk stories of the Easter Rabbit began in pre-Christian fertility lore. The Goddess Eastre, was sometimes represented with a woman’s body and a rabbit’s head. One popular legend says Eastre found a bird, wounded, on the ground late in winter. To save its life, she transformed it into a hare. But “the transformation was not a complete one. The bird took the appearance of a hare but retained the ability to lay eggs… the hare would decorate these eggs and leave them as gifts to Eastre.” Enter the Easter Bunny. The egg is a symbol of fertility and rebirth, of new life. It stands for the renewing power of nature. The egg can also symbolize regeneration in a spiritual or psychological sense. Continue reading

You become peaceful when you start the work of undoing what you have done

Writer Sophia Quzi

Someone once said to Socrates, “I never learned anything from what you spoke but from your company. Even if you were not in the same room I knew if you were in the building or not.”   In the world today there are various forms of peacelessness and various ways of spreading it. Someone who is worried doesn’t think he is spreading what is opposite of peacefulness. Perhaps he thinks it just stays in his body’s cells and does not spread outwards but it stretches further than the earth. A person who has opinions that involves dislike or mistrust of anyone is hurting everyone. Nature lovers hurt the nature. Greedy people damage their own children. Animal lovers hurt animals. Not liking someone is disliking everyone as is disliking my job. A politician will be spiritually incorrect. A person can only become peaceful when they start the work of undoing what they have done. When we are soul conscious and connect our intellects in yoga with the higher self, we will continue to receive this current. The damage will be undone and the 5 elements as well as every soul within a costume of 5 elements will become cooperative with our task. Today…leave your own problem and worries aside be peaceful and allow others to be in peace.

Don’t beware, celebrate the Ides of March

A pal was concerned she has to do a legal transaction today and is a little superstitious about doing it on the Ides of March. What I’ve learned is how powerful it can be to recognize and celebrate the metaphor within the superstition. I think the Ides of March is the perfect time to close on one segment of your life and begin another. Historically the Ides of March has to do with death and destruction, however death precedes rebirth and destruction clears the way for infinite potential. I think it’s perfectly fitting and the perfect day for it.

You can make a living right where you are

I love calls like this. When we last spoke in 2015, a friend was bummed she could not get employed in the field she’d been trained for. Then she had to stick close to home to care for a declining parent. I suggested she change her idea of what kind of job she “should” have and to look in her immediate vicinity for what was needed.  ♡ She lived in a neighborhood of many folks she did not know. I suggested she get to know them and see if she could help them out, cleaning, cooking, yard care, running errands, organizing, taking retirees to appointments, writing out checks for bills etc. for a fair price. ♡ A corporate professional for 30 years, she scoffed at the idea. She called tonight to let me know that is exactly what she’s been doing since about six months after we spoke. She’s been happier and more relaxed and has as much work as she wants with people she now considers friends and family. ♡ Ok. so she didn’t win the lotto and she doesn’t live in a mansion and have a yacht out back but if you ask me, this is a success story.

Why I don’t do readings 40 hours a week

A friend asked why I spend so much time on the magazine when it only pays for itself and doesn’t earn income, why don’t I spend 40 hours a week doing readings instead? Wouldn’t I make a whole lot more money? True, my readings are the income but, the magazine – I’m in it for the outcome, not the income. Plus I enjoy it so much, it’s like the story of the Chinese lettuce farmer who was known far and wide as a writer of exquisite poetry and the grower of poor, bitter lettuce. “Why don’t you stop farming lettuce and spend all your time writing poetry?” he is asked time and again. “Because, ” the farmer says, “If I do not grow poor lettuce, then I cannot write beautiful poetry.

Is there really a hell where people get punished for all eternity?

Watching Greenleaf on Netflix. Provocative dialogue. When asked “Do you really think there’s a Hell? Someplace where people get punished for all eternity?” Bishop Greenleaf responds. “I’ve never been much for this God of punishment. I know the Bible says it’s a fact, but I’ve never seen any evidence of it myself. Most sin, to me, seems like it brings its own suitcase of pain with it when it walks in the door. That being said… I think when we die, we go immediately and completely into the presence of the pure love of God. And for some of us, depending on what we’ve done, to discern in that moment how much damage we did, how good it all could have been otherwise… that’s going to feel like Hell.”
