I wrote a month ago that My Samsung Galaxy S5 Can’t Take It (original text below). It turns out I just hadn’t spoken to a knowledgeable tech before speaking to Curtis Moss today. He was the only tech who ever mentioned the Samsung Software Repair Assistant. I ran it and at first glance it seems to have fixed the dropping wi-fi and video/photo upload issues. When Curtis first mentioned the Factory Data Reset, I was Aries-quick to butt in and tell him I’d already done everything the previous techs had told me to do before I called him. He was courteous yet wasn’t going to let me off the hook. He began walking me through the paces. And he was right. No one had ever mentioned the Repair Assistant and that was one of the first things he said we should try. I got a metaphysical and spiritual lesson from it also. I bought the expensive Galaxy S5 since I thought instead of spending $150 on a phone that lasts two years, I’ll spend $499 and get a killer phone that will last longer. A year in I began to have problems. I see now the Repair Assistant may have fixed them, but no one at the Verizon store nor Verizon online mentioned it to me. I have to take responsibility for attracting willing — but under-educated — helpers. The lesson to me was, there may be good people standing ready and willing to help me, but if they don’t know — and they don’t know they don’t know — how helpful will it be?
I know I attract my experience to me by virtue of where I’m resonating vibrationally. While I may THINK I am vibing in a good place, an easy, free-flowing of good to me place, I may not be. I always know what I’m vibrating in harmony with because I see evidence of it in front of me in physical life, in the form of the people I come in contact with and the situations and events that unfold before me. If I attract , for instance, the easy purchase of a killer phone everyone loves, that shows me I’m in sync and heading in a good direction. If I then attract, for instance, issues with the phone, I need to look to me to see what it is IN ME that makes me a vibe match with under educated, under trained, and/or under informed but pleasant and willing helpers, Hmmmm. That means ask myself, In what area of my life am I under educated, under trained and under informed? And how might that be putting through unnecessary aggravation those I seek to help? You, too maybe?
I can’t believe I could have fixed the video and wi-fi issues a year ago if I’d known about it. I was ready to leave both Verizon and Samsung at the end of the contract convinced of a negative result. I can’t attract other than I am, but I can wake up a little more and change where I am. Food for thought. The good news is my Samsung Galaxy S5 seems to be working fine and now I know that fix.
UPDATE: JULY 10, 2016, 3 DAYS LATER, IT’S DROPPING WI-FI AGAIN – wah!
July 14, 2016 they are sending me a replacement phone
Original Post: The June 5, 2016 Problem with My Galaxy S5
I just did a factory reset of my Samsung Galaxy S5. After a year, I had to replace it because it kept dropping Wi-Fi. They sent me a refurbished one so I have no idea how old it is but the voice to text on it is very poor. Whether it is in email or in messaging or in Facebook posts, it will capitalize random words and it will get many words wrong. I’ve used my voice professionally for years so I know how to dictate clearly. It also won’t let me post directly from the video to Facebook, the videos are all pixelly looking. Although the photos are not large, it has to reconfigure them every time I want to email one. I spoke to several Verizon techs and no one knew the fix. One tech, Candace whom I could never reach again, was able to walk me through all the settings to make sure they were correct. No one else did that and it fixed a couple of problems. Please Verizon, have Candace train the other techs. I’m looking forward to May 2017 so I can replace this phone with one that can handle heavy voice to text since my phone has to be a work horse. I thought spending this much on a phone would be a real upgrade and it has not been. Great camera though. I’d like something larger format because it is less important for me to have a phone small enough for a pocket than it is for me to have easy access to a screen I can read clearly and respond back right away. I’d likely get the insurance as well since if I had the insurance this time I could have replaced it with a new phone rather than a refurbished one. The refurbished phone they sent me had more problems than my original phone which only dropped Wi-Fi. If you have voice to text on your phone and are happy with its performance, let me know what kind of phone you have.
I’ve always had iPhones. Last month I bought the larger, new iPhone 6 and I love it. It handles texting, FaceTime, voice mail, the internet, photos….etc….perfectly.
And it’s completely compatible with my iPad and my Mac laptop. All my Apple products work together perfectly.
