Walmart Pay and the Savings Catcher App

The Walmart app shown here has the Savings Catcher feature. If another local store has any item on your receipt for less, they pay it back to you. They do that by depositing a credit onto a Walmart e-card for you, up to $599.99 per year. You can either print out the e-card and take it into the physical store with you to shop, or you can shop online with it. It just takes a moment extra at the register and I saved $70 in 2018. I feel safe doing it because I keep zero financial information accessible on my phone.

UPDATE 11-1-18 You now have to use Walmart Pay at the register to scan the QR code when it appears on the screen. You can no longer scan the receipts at home.  IMPORTANT, do not scan your card for payment until AFTER the total and QR code appear on the screen. if you have a purchase of $29 and a Savings Catcher credit of $1.00, the screen will tell you to pay $28 more. if you scan your card ahead of time, it does catch the savings from that receipt.

My favorite Easy Tarot Guide

When friends ask me what is the best tarot book for a beginner, I always suggest this one. My original one is falling apart, I just ordered and received another. I use a standard Rider Waite Tarot deck because early on that was the only deck that many authors had written interpretations for. It let me delve into the symbology of each card in a very deep and lasting way. I keep an extensive library on hand here for astrology, tarot and other forms of divination.

A yellow jacket sting, fried modem kind of day

Today in the sky: Mars on top of Uranus and opposition Jupiter, with Mercury atop the south node = expect wacky happenings, the illusion of bad luck and mixed signals. And all happening in my 11th and 12th houses making circumstances ideal for today to be a colossal mindf*ck. And if it had happened to anyone else, it could have been! Thankfully I was able to see the humor in it right away and surfed it as long as the wave kept me afloat. The morning began at dawn when I disturbed a yellow jacket nest while raking in the side yard and got nabbed twice! I ran inside and dabbed baking soda and took 2 Benadryl. I got off lucky, the bites hurt for 48 hours then I was fine. Of course, the benadryl knocked me out til 4:00pm. So much for work today. But I think I know where the yellow jacket nest is. I think I have it narrowed down to about five square feet.  Continue reading

Today I closed my Wells Fargo accounts

Today I went to Wells Fargo and closed all my  longstanding (since 1984) accounts because Wells Fargo is still financing the companies building the Dakota Access Pipeline. I cannot allow my dollars to contribute to human rights abuses and environmental issues such as are happening at Standing Rock, ND.  Wells Fargo has always been good to me, but sometimes you gotta vote with your wallet.

I find my missing handbell

For about a week I’ve been missing a sentimental item, a vintage brass hand bell similar to this one. It sat on my desk alongside a crystal hand bell, which now sits alone. No one else goes in that room but my pal G and I. We’ve looked all over. G did manage to find another small brass bell I didn’t even recall I had, so it’s sitting on the altar with the crystal one waiting for the other to return. (The two smaller bells in the photo to the right.)

UPDATE: I found my missing brass handbell! It was in the shed. Here it is, the one on the left. I was feeling emotional pain because of it being missing for a few days. I ordered the one on the right because it reminded me of it. I figured with time I would forget the new one was not the original one and it would hold the same sentimental attachment for me. When my father-in-law came to live with me, that was the bell he would have in his room to call me if he didn’t feel like yelling across the house.

Scandals are signs that darkness can no longer hide

News reports of scandals are cause for lightworkers to celebrate! Not because of the scandals themselves, but because they are clear signs that darkness can no longer hide. Those scandals have always existed. The difference is that they are now discovered and reported. Everyone is aware of the truth. <3 Darkness is running, resigning, and trying to hide . . . but it faces total eviction from our realty as we each allow God’s light full access to shine through us. When you turn the lights on in the room, darkness vanishes. Keep shining and speaking your truth, as that’s your divine purpose!  Doreen Virtue

Don’t be deceived, see past the illusion

Don’t be deceived. See past the illusion. In nature, animals learn tricks to appear larger to prey. You call attention to yourself, you make large motions, you make a lot of noise. “Deception in animals is the transmission of misinformation by one animal to another in a way that propagates beliefs that are not true. In deimatic behaviour, an animal adopts a threatening pose to startle a predator or rival. Some animals may use tactical deception, with behaviour that is deployed in a way that other animals misinterpret what is happening to the advantage of the agent.”

Stay hopeful, helpers are in motion

Stay hopeful. Don’t take score too soon. We’ve been heard. Helpers are in motion working to make it right. Help hold the vision. Help is on the way. Stay hopeful because that’s what sustains us and moves us forward. Never doubt that behind the scenes there are people helping. Look for the helpers. See how you can help them.
