Tarot Card of the Day: The Chariot Reversed

Your Card for today.  Meditate upon the meaning this card might have for you since it showed up at this exact moment. Not everyone saw this.  Not everyone attracted this message onto their monitor.  YOU DID. There are no mistakes.

I love the reversed cards, they indicate our routine life has been put on hold for a designed purpose. Reversals can have to do with lack of sufficient effort or support. It can be where we feel blocked or discouraged, where we feel fearful.

MEANING: In reversal, the Chariot is still a card about movement. This movement can be literal from one physical place to another or metaphysical – a change in where you or someone close to you needs a change in their heart and/or mind.  The reversed Chariot can indicate that you need to take a hard look at where you are going and why. Don’t allow yourself to engage in movement just for the sake of movement. Purpose and direction is important at times.

The reversed Chariot may well point to a tendency to push too far, too fast. Yes, your ideas are good, and yes, you are right to be enthusiastic about them. However you cannot expect others to be at the same speed as you are. Be circumspect, and try to frame your messages in a variety of ways so that others can hear you.

Love: When the reversed Chariot appears, you may have come to the conclusion that you have met someone very special and that you need to push hard to get into this relationship… or vice versa, you are feeling as though you probably need to get out of one. In reversal, there’s a signal here that you should temper either impulse, especially that of pursuing a new relationship too enthusiastically. Don’t be afraid to wait.

Finances: You may be feeling a great deal of energy toward getting things accomplished and improving your financial lot in life. This card in reversal can indicate a need to slow down and solicit more opinions about your planned course of action. Be prudent.

Health: You may be all fired up and ready to move forward in taking steps to improve your health. That’s a good thing, but don’t get so carried away with speed so that you create a counter-productive situation. You can’t and shouldn’t go from zero to 120 miles per hour overnight – you’d risk injury or at the least starting something you won’t finish. Improve your fitness gradually.

Spirituality: You may have the feeling that you have finally found some spiritual answers that you have been searching for.  Explore the new-found spiritual understanding, however, think before entrusting your entire spiritual being to someone else or to an organization. Trust yourself, first.

Reversed cards can indicate a stalling, a delay in expression while it’s evolving, with a sequence having to be performed before the upright meaning of the card could be granted, i.e. Mary wants C to happen but she gets a reversed card because before C can happen, she has to do A and B.

Reversals can have to do with plans pondered yet not put into action, lack of sufficient effort, or something they feel they are being held apart from. It can be where they feel blocked or discouraged, where they feel fearful.

It indicates working through an issue. We work through issues every day so we’re not talking about the world crashing down around you. It simply indicates something at play in your life right now and those things come to pass, they don’t come to stay. A reversed card gives more complex and greater levels of insight.
