Here I have the zapper positioned above the yellow jacket nest but I saw very few yellow jackets. Last night I lowered it down so it’s about 8 inches above the nest. I saw one yellow jacket walking around outside two sundowns ago. This morning I just saw one crawl out of the hole in the ground so I guess that is their nest. I turned the zapper on and went back out to watch and he was just walking along the palmetto fronds about a foot away from it, did not seem interested in the light at all. I I raked away some of the ground debris, carefully and cautiously so as not to disturb any other hidden nests. I enjoy doing yard work when it’s in the fifties and sixties and seventies with low humidity.
