Walking off the indigestion

Ugh, I ate something too heavy last night and now, 12 hours later, it’s reaching that point in the digestive process that I feel icky and bloated and blocked.  I know it will move through my system in another few hours.  In the meantime, it’s like labor and feels better if I’m stretching and walking it off.  No more Tyson buffalo bites for me!  I love these little reminders my body gives me when I begin to overdo.  And frankly, it’s not like I didn’t read the ingredient list before I bought them… or ate half a bag of them…   By the time I reached the 16th hour mark it was over with.  I’m glad for these gentle reminders that don’t have me purging to feel better.  Just keep the body in motion and let it heal itself.

How to release the chemical smells from a new bed

My new bed

I bought my new bed last week.   I noticed a distinct chemical odor.  I Googled to find out what it was and found that is normal for a new mattress and that it’s simply an out-gassing of the internal materials, which are largely composed of chemical foam.  See below for how to remove it.  All bedding is non-returnable for health reasons.  State laws require a merchant to remove all the covering to the spring core and rebuild the mattress, even if its only been used one night.  Any merchant that accepts returns eats the cost of that re-manufacturing process, which is considerable.  Flame retardant is required by law.  Continue reading

Despite deadlocked launch traffic, I was in the vortex on South Topical Trail

The final shuttle launch Atlantis happened yesterday at 11:29am.  I drove to Merritt Island about 2:30pm to pick up my computer, and there was launch traffic all along I-95, US1 and AIA.   Aaaugh, how to get back home??  Aha, I cruised home on South Tropical Trail from Highway 520 all the way down to Mathers Bridge seeing only a handful of drivers. I took a video showing the drive and posted it on Facebook.  The Indian River is on one side of me and the Banana River on the other. I always forget which is which.   While everyone else was stuck in the shuttle launch traffic, I took the road less travelled. Vibrational matches like these are evidence that I’m attracting good stuff.

How often do I ask for something I don’t realize I already have?

Izzy just came in from outside and began meowing.  “Feed me.  Feed me now.  Now.  NOW!”  What he doesn’t know is that I opened a can just five minutes before and put it down for him.  So he’s freaking out and asking me for something he doesn’t yet realize has already been given to him.  I wonder how often I do that.   Like asking the Universe for something that I am too blind at the moment to realize I already have immediate access to.

Just because you get divorced doesn’t mean you can’t stay the best of friends

Just because you love each other doesn’t mean you should get married.  Just because you’re married and fight doesn’t mean you should get divorced.  Just because you get divorced doesn’t mean you can’t stay the best of friends or come together in a new way.  Separation is good, it gives you relativity.  And when you’re divorcing your mate, be as generous and loving to them as you were when you fell in love.  It’ll help you make better decisions about property settlement.

On the Casey Anthony Acquittal

We may not like to think a criminal can attract getting away with their crime, but it’s all about intention, belief, expectation and alignment. The good news: with every passing moment our intentions change, our belief wavers and we move in and out of alignment.  Translation: she will still get hers down the road.

I bought my new bed yesterday!

I bought my new bed yesterday.  On Saturday I decided it was time  I downsized my bed.  Sunday I collected the local mattress sale ads and Googled for information and recommended models.  On Monday I visited all the local stores and tried out the beds to see where my price range would be.  I’d decided on the  Lady Englander Summerville Visco Pillowtop, with the King Koil Garnet Eurotop a close second.  Tuesday I checked the King Koil price at one more store before I made my decision.  I’d brought a friend along and he unknowingly made it easier for me to make my decision. Let’s do some Ho’oponopono for the Casey Anthony Matter

I like when the Universe gives a big group of people a project to work on together.  I think a little Ho’oponopono is in order after the Casey Anthony verdict. Anyone who has an emotional feeling about it is being given the opportunity to work on their issues with judgment, forgiveness and letting go.   I know that everything in my world is my responsibility, simply because I’m aware of it. “I forgive you and for whatever my (unknown/karmic) part in the situation, I ask forgiveness, I thank you for your part in my life and I love you.” Really.  As the Beloved B aka Bryan Tilford says, “Today we were all found not guilty.”

Downsizing my bed and re-routing neural pathways

Off and off the the past year I’ve considered downsizing from my beloved  Simmons Beautyrest Marquee king to a full size bed.  My thought is that a double bed will free up enough space to give me an expanded sewing corner.  The king bed was fine when I was sharing it with kitties and paperwork, but now it’s just big and bulky.  As often as I move the furniture around at my place, I’d prefer the extra space.
