I get feedback about a psychic reading that made the client depressed and afraid – there’s never a need to do that | Andrea de Michaelis – Creating my own reality, one thought at a time

I always ask people to give me feedback about which psychic readers they would and would not recommend, and why. This is a letter I received last year. “I got a reading with Rev DP. The reading left me depressed and angry because of what she told me was on my future and there was no way to change it. I was not not told about death or sickness but stuff definitely unwelcome in my life. I was told I was going to write a book well I am not a writer or that committed to do such a thing. That my ex husband was very abusive verbally to me and that he was going to leave my life for good very angry and that the relationship with my boyfriend was over for good because he found somebody who was very compatible with but he would not marry her and that such relationship break up was protection from financial difficulties for myself. Instead my boyfriend and this woman were going to have horrible financial problems and one of them was going to move away. And that I was going to meet someone very intelligent with whom I was going to have a very steamy affair and we were going to be very in love with each other but for the meantime I was going to avoid him and that she could see me doing that.

None of the above is welcome in my experience. I met another reader who has been very helpful to manipulate this supposed ” destiny.” Well, my ex husband is more understanding, willing to listen and disagree without insulting and being abusive and manipulative. I feel more free to talk to him and I know he can no longer abuse me or manipulate me instead he is more like a good friend who is willing to help whatever way he can and definitely I am grateful he still is part of my life and and if he leaves my life it would be because he dies.

My boyfriend has been having lots of financial difficulties and had to rent his house to avoid losing it and he has been very depressed about it. He just found a job but it takes time to get finances in order. The woman I told the reader about left his life almost after meeting her. My boyfriend still has financial difficulties so do I and lots of other people have financial difficulties too. I am grateful for my boyfriend because he gives me my space but also is there for me too.

To conclude this was a very lousy reading because the reader did not help me and tell me about how to change an unwelcome outcome of the way things were going. Instead I became very depressed, I was thinking of hurting myself and even committing suicide to avoid the steamy affair, losing my ex- husband and losing my boyfriend for good.

According to her everything was set, and there was no way to avoid the steamy affair, and the loss of these two men in my life. To me a reader has the responsibility to help someone, tell them how to change something they do not like even if it is not a death or an accident. This new reader who has been very helpful to change things more to my liking through meditation and prayer has taking some time to accomplish things more to my liking. It can be frustrating and emotionally taxing but when one begins to see things changing more to one’s liking then it is well worth it. Let’s supposed these two men leave my life because they died at the same time being alone is more more welcome than the affair with the intellectual man.

I DO NOT recommend anyone going to this reader. Readings need to be empowering so people can help themselves to have a better outcomes on their lives.

Andrea: Sheesh, whatever happened to “First do no harm?” Anyone can point out upcoming problems. What takes experience and talent and a real gift is to be able to (1) correctly assess the state of mind of your client, to determine whether they can emotionally and psychologically handle what you’re about to tell them without causing them damage, and (2) be able to give remedial suggestions. Until you can do those two things, you can’t be of much value to your client.

Plus you don’t want the karma of damaging someone who’s in a fragile mindset already. Just sayin.
