Just got off the phone with someone who years ago had a missing relative and went on Montel Williams where Sylvia Browne gave her psychic story of what happened. With all due respect, has Sylvia Browne ever been correct? I mean not just on Montel Williams’ show, but ever? I saw her in Carmel, California in 1996. I paid cash and gave another name when I made the appointment from a friend’s phone 8 weeks in advance. My mother had just died months before and my husband would die in a couple of months. She gave me a very generic reading that could have fit 80% of most people, but none of it pertained to me. I asked on Facebook, “Illuminate me please if you’ve ever gotten a accurate reading from Sylvia Browne.” I had one FBF write, “I got a wonderful reading from Sylvia about 24 years ago… she ended up changing the course of my life. I love that my phone is also my calendar, calculator, notepad and internet. I can literally do my job from bed or beach all day, make deposits and pay bills online. Holy freaken Whoever or Whatever made that possible in my lifetime THANK YOU.

Make sure your parent is not a victim

An ongoing theme in calls this week is elderly relatives being taken advantage of by con artists and their adult kids don’t know it because they’re not involved in their finances. My father in law had Alzheimer’s disease and before I brought him into my home to live with me, he handled all his own finances. I was at his home one day and answered the phone for him twice in a couple of hours. Both were salesmen who asked for him by name as though they were old friends. Long story short, afterward I looked at his check register and I was stunned to learn he had been writing checks for years for hundreds of dollars to (1) vitamin companies who sent him cases of vitamins which were expired on the date they were mailed and (2) tens of thousands of dollars to outright con artists. They’d ask him to mail money orders out of state and he’d go right to the bank and do it. Please be aware this may be happening to your parent and they will not tell you. Know who they are writing checks to and why. My father in law, when asked, said he would tell the callers no at first but they would convince him he needed to send them money for his own good. Before he came to my home, these people would call him on a regular basis with new offers, and they had his credit card number.  Continue reading →

I just processed 122 emails, printing receipts, logging in payments. I’m feeling lighter all the time. Having no backlog of work makes me feel light and free.

The website is now mobile responsive! I get tired of going to web pages on my phone and having to do the finger span to make the text large enough to read. Then I realized my own site was like that. No more! I also moved over the links to the pdf files of the last ten years’ worth of past issues as well as the horoscopes, so everything can be accessed –> from the main page.

A friend woke me this morning telling me there were surveyors down the street having a big argument that they could not get behind a fence.  That escalated to one telling the other “you never do any work, I have to do everything, you’re always late.” I prepared to go down there and my friend told me to butt out. But I went out anyway because because I knew how to get them behind the fence. That left them more time for griping. I’m always willing to give somebody tips to save them time.

Wow, two months ago I was really bumming with a ligament injury behind my knee and it felt like it was never going to get better. Today was the test I had to go up and down several sets of stairs and do it pretty quickly and I was shocked at how strong it felt. Yay for powers of recuperation!

Most of my spam calls lately have been collection companies offering to collect my debts from clients who haven’t paid. I don’t do business like that. If they pay, they get service. If not, they don’t. BIG FAT BIZNESS SECRET: If you make people pay, they will pay. Those who don’t will go elsewhere and make room for those who do pay. They really will.  I don’t let people slide on paying because I know having them in a good habit of paying on time and a fair price helps our prosperity keep flowing. I’m all about helping everyone stay in the flow.
