I watched Bravo TV’s Southern Charm last night. At first I was going to write something very mean and shaming about cast member Whitney Sudler-Smith, as he seems to go out of his way to be a douche. Then I wondered what it was in me that judged that in him. Upon reflection, I’m he sure is very grateful every day for his mom marrying into money. I knew a duo like that back in the day in Miami. In her Last will and Testament, the mom split most of her holdings between several devoted staff and a foundation, leaving only $25k her son with instructions for rehab. It took him 10 years to finally get his act together, enter the work force and be productive but when he did, he was proud of it and humble for what went before.
