Our dear friend, Lee Tritt, is undergoing daily treatment for brain cancer. Please visit the website (see Events also) to see how you can help, even if you just quickly donate $10. I think a little Ho’oponopono is in order for her. I know that everything in my world is my responsibility, simply because I’m aware of it. “I forgive you and for whatever my (unknown/karmic) part in the situation, I ask forgiveness, I thank you for your part in my life and I love you.” Really. A friend reads me the riot act for the wake I leave behind me. Even buying ripe bananas brings up my commitment issues.
A long time friend wrote me yesterday and gave me a little heck for not making time for them. It’s a real life friend who’s really a favorite and I’m always stoked when I come across them out in public. “Friendship is about participation, ” they wrote, “You don’t do that. At least with me. I’m not going belabor it. It’s not the first time by far. I know you have the time crunch thing. I’m OK with that. I don’t need your regular participation. Just quality participation. You’re so busy juggling so many things. You don’t see the wake behind you, pure and simple. You have been doing it for such a long time it doesn’t register. Surprising you don’t burn out, or become bipolar over it. I used to know people that would do loads of coke, probably doesn’t come close to your level of voluminous thought or work. Anyway it’s probably not going to change and you don’t seem to be able to connect with this. I’m dropping it. Now. Good luck. You call this loving what you do.” Continue reading
If you sell anything online, give this 8 minutes of attention
I wrote on Facebook on June 16, 2011: ” To the 11 clients who accidentally overpaid me on Paypal this week then told me to consider the overage a donation, thanks! It’s really my fault, though, I’ve been doing my Paypal creative visualization to increase dollars :)” My friend Barbara Casey commented: ” I love this stuff. I revised your Paypal visualization to also include Clickbank and after 6 weeks of zip, received 3 affiliate commissions in the past 3 days.” I love how it works. I do tests with Visa only or MasterCard alone as well, just to show myself I can have an effect on what I attract. Knowledge is power. If you’ve got any kind of product or services online, do the visualization just once a day for 30 days, then sit back and watch the dollars roll in.

How can I attract something out of thin air?
“What do you mean by attract? How can I attract something out of thin air?” Attract doesn’t mean what you want will appear out of nowhere like magic on the spot, although it could. Attract means you attract the people and circumstances to fall into place to set the scene to progress you on the next step of where you want to be relative to whatever topic you have the least resistance on. You can speed this up by giving thought to what you’d like, pre-paving your experience so to speak, via creative visualization. You still have to recognize opportunity and speak up. To me, that means always speak to strangers, too. Check out these Creative Visualization Links.
Cultivating My Inner Cheerleader to Motivate Myself to Work
Friday I began final layout for the July Horizons Magazine and have been a little slow getting into it. In my work, I wear several hats. Sometimes one area of my life is more active than others and the crossover takes a little modulating. I don’t always have the luxury of time to wind down from the last task before I begin the next. It’s times like this I work at cultivating my inner cheerleader, to give me some encouragement along the way. Continue reading
What I did last weekend
I had a busy weekend and didn’t even step into the office once. That’s rare for me. Saturday was the Celebration of Life and Memorial for Rev. Judith Vidal. I loved that the address it was held at was “343.” To me, 343 is the number of the heart chakra, 4th chakra, 3 above, 3 below. It was so fitting for Rev. Judith. It was a great service of memories, stories, music and laughter. Yes, laughter. When someone has had physical pain for years, it’s a blessing to have the body drop and everyone there understood that. Even so, the body has times it wants to cry even when I’m not sad, so at times the tears flowed freely during the music and memories. I wrote on Facebook later, “A heads up: If you know you’ll be somewhere that you end up crying like a baby and want a really really waterproof mascara that doesn’t flake or clump, try Maybelline’s Falsies. An outstanding job, even in hot, humid Florida. (Did you know all the mascara ads you see on tv and in print show models wearing false lashes?) I connected with good friends, including Rev. William McNeely of the Crystal Center of Illumination in Fort Pierce, a long time spiritual brother. Continue reading

Writer’s Block Isn’t a Block At All; It’s a Billboard
Last night I spoke to a client who was convinced she had writer’s block. Have you ever had that? I ask because many of you who read this are also writers, even if it’s just a journal. You suddenly lose interest in putting words on the page, or, more likely, you just aren’t happy with what you’re writing. There are a lot of theories on what writer’s block is and how to overcome it, and a lot of busy work can go into researching it. But I think it’s just like anything else: the remedy is the most simple answer. Recognize the block itself as a signal to you from the Universe in answer to something you’ve been asking lately. Break down the elements of the block and you’ll find it’s not a block at all, it’s a billboard with your answer. It’s your inner guidance talking to you. Continue reading
Let’s do some Ho’oponopono for the Tornadoes in the Midwest
I just saw on AOL where there was tornado destruction in Joplin, MO. I think a little Ho’oponopono is in order for them. I know that everything in my world is my responsibility, simply because I’m aware of it. “I forgive you and for whatever my (unknown/karmic) part in the situation, I ask forgiveness, I thank you for your part in my life and I love you.” Really.

Gardening as kids ride by “Look, she’s out in the yard”
I spent yesterday alternating lazing about with doing some yard work. It was one of those days when the mood flows in and out of euphoria, a beautiful sunny spring day, 80 degree weather, jays and cardinals in the sprinkler at the east garden bird bath, wrens and doves at the bird bath in the courtyard. For awhile there was a lot of bird calling and squirrels chattering when the young hawks came on the scene, but they didn’t stay long. I raked the dried oak leaves into mulch for the plants in the yard. I’m a firm believer in mulch. My jungle yard is proof it works. I pulled a few wheelbarrows full of wedelia and ferns out of the garden area to the left of the front walkway under the giant oak, and raked another few wheelbarrowsful of dried oak leaves out of there, using it as mulch for the giant philodendron and turk’s cap and bottlebrush in the front berm. My cats Izzy and YinYang lazed about under the bamboo. Continue reading
