I’ve been working on final layout of the July Horizons Magazine this week and not much else. This afternoon I got to have a quick sushi with a pal before getting into the evening work. It’s cool when a pal lives within walking distance, works from home as I do, and we have similar habits, lifestyle, interests and language. It gives us that automatic shorthand that makes conversation so effortless, revelatory and satisfying. For someone with as little free time for socializing as I, that’s a big plus.  My ideal relationship with a man is that of a brother on the Path, someone interested in connection to Source – whatever that looks like to them, personal growth, yoga, fitness, meditation. A friend asks me business advice.  She can’t get ahead financially.  Her credit is poor, she owes everybody.  She chooses to not address it. She’s been working odd jobs, off the books.  She lives looking over her shoulder. My suggestion was that everything is related and her financial woes in the now can be greatly alleviated by making peace with the past, including doing forgiveness work  and taking steps to become legit with licensing, taxes and insurance. To contact the creditors and see what her options are.  Financially, psychologically and emotionally: if the past is not resolved, then you can expect that when things are going very well, it can all be yanked out from under you.  That’s why you get it all resolved when you’re down in the muck of it and have far less to lose. Cool synchronicity today! A pal lives around the corner yet I didn’t know it. For two years he’s done a daily walk around the block, right past the house. My place is wooded, so I can see someone is walking by but not who. He just never got around to stopping. I thought he was The Tilted Boy. The Tilted Boy walks by every day too, he’s tall and tilts way over to one side. I was taking the trash to the street this morning when my pal was walking by and we got to connect. Life is always ticking me pink.

A friend wrote that she’d been feeling stuck in a rut and asked what to do to overcome it.  I sent her a link to my 13 Steps Back To Balance (also below.)  She also feels she’s come to a wall and has the urge to travel, so I wrote:  “You are getting the urge to travel because once you are in motion is when the ideas can come more clearly to you. Staying where you are, you only have access to the same ideas you’ve had up to now. You can’t go beyond them until you do something different. Movement anywhere, even grocery shopping in a new store in a different part of town, will cause movement within your consciousness as well. What appears to be a wall is really a billboard. It usually says, you can choose to paint anything you want here and then you can choose to move toward it.  I find it’s important to write down things you want to do and be, write down things you appreciate. When you begin those 2 simple lists — the writing is crucial — ideas will come into your head which lead you forward into the next stage of unfoldment. Do anything different and do it long enough to let new ideas begin to flow, then contemplate them as they pertain to your personal life. Begin to see everything in front of you as a metaphor for what is happening in the unfolding of your own consciousness. What plays out in your physical life is a reflection of your soul’s evolution. If there’s any ick at all, do forgiveness work and make peace with the past. That in itself will lighten a load considerably. You are on the verge of awakening to a very good life.
