A child tells his dad that their mom isn’t around overnight. Dad asks mom about it. Mom punishes kid for telling. Um, what was the kid supposed to do?  It’s not an easy thing to do, raising our next generation. If you fought for custody, then care for them. We’ve got children raising siblings because their custodial parent can’t get it together yet she needs the child support so she won’t relinquish custody. Staying home with a child and making them your priority in their growth years goes a long way in healing the world. You can learn to enjoy it if you give yourself the chance. I promise it is just as fulfilling as partying with pals. I know several dads who would love to raise their kids. Grandparents have legal rights in Florida and if they are happy to share in the child’s life, they should not be denied visitation because one parent doesn’t like them. It takes a village. That village resides OUTside the home. Get your home schooled children with other kids so they can socialize – please prepare them for life, please, or let them visit with a loving parent or grandparent who can.  Your children are not your toys and you are responsible for giving them the tools to live a productive life after you are gone.

Last night, sitting on the east patio watching the full moon rise over the tree line, I felt bathed in gratitude for my life. I live in such a magical space and am thankful for the people I’ve attracted into it. Strolling down my street, half the neighbors have their Christmas lights up and the entire street is an enchanting scene.  The world I see at any given time always reflects what is in me.  My security lies in knowing I am in charge of that.

What is Karma? Karma is the Sanskrit word for action. It is equivalent to Newton’s law of ‘every action must have a reaction’. When we think, speak or act we initiate a force that will react accordingly. This returning force maybe modified, changed or suspended, but most people will not be able eradicate it. This law of cause and effect is not punishment, but is wholly for the sake of education or learning. A person may not escape the consequences of his actions, but he will suffer only if he himself has made the conditions ripe for his suffering. Ignorance of the law is no excuse whether the laws are man-made or universal. My Kassel clock

My Kassel anniversary clock gave me a lesson in Light this morning. A torsion pendulum clock, the wheel of 4 crystal balls at the base turns slowly, clockwise then counterclockwise. I keep the clock turned away from the bed when I sleep. When I sleep, I keep the room blacked out, even turning off the red night lamps.  Last night I kept being startled awake by a flash of light. I’d open my eyes and look around and see nothing but darkness. I’d lie back down and it would happen again. I ignored it awhile and meditated on the idea of flashing lights. Was it a signal, something I need to pay attention to, an area of life to be illuminated, what?  Then it came to me. In one particular position, I could see a reflection on the crystals at the base of the clock. Light from somewhere was hitting the base and it would shine out for a moment during the spin. I’d have to watch carefully through a lot of darkness but I would finally catch that glimpse of reflected light. It was faint but it was enough to wake me up. Continue reading →

I’m never upset when friends don’t understand what I’m trying to convey and cut me off.   I’m not for everyone. It’s not that I’m so insightful, I simply have a profound grasp of essential truth.  Not everyone vibes there. It’s always a blessing the times I’m initially mocked for something and then later realization sinks in and  someone is able to put it into practice and have an expanded life because of words I’ve spoken. And when they go on to repeat those words to help expand other lives and give others hope, I am blessed a thousand times over.  It matters not what their intention is, whether they even admit to ever having known me.  My intention is to be of value. It is my intention that directs my course. (And these words that changed my life when I got them from wherever I got them, it’s not like a word is ever mine.)
Awakening and Opening Eyes: The caterpillar is not dying

We got up before dawn this morning and took a drive to the boardwalk to watch the sun rise. They’ve got a beach project underway. As we sat drinking Starbucks, we got to look across a huge pipe and heavy equipment to the surf lapping at low tide. The one big machine looked like a sand sucker to me. Someone else thought it was a holding tank. I’ll investigate further.

A friend has been talking about getting a pet. Today they had a surprise visit from a young orange tabby tom who literally walked right up and meowed to be let in the door, climbed all over the computer then laid down on their chest as they reclined on the couch. Be careful what you speak about because it has attract-ion power!
