Guest Blogger: Jinnania Le Fey — an Order of Whine

You’re creating constantly, especially when you’re complaining!  Jinn writes: “Often you complain that no one is listening to you. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The Universe is, in fact, taking in every word and responding to your every wish. So, why have all your dreams not come true? You are most likely not being clear. The Universe would like to bring you all that you ask, so you must be mindful of what you ask for. Imagine a waitress standing beside you preparing to take your order. English is not her primary language, so she catches most of what you say, but there are gaps in her understanding. You say, “I want coffee”, then start to converse with your friends. “I don’t think I’ll get the eggs, last time they were runny and the toast was burnt.” You look over at your friend and say quietly, “I’ll get the pancakes today”. You close your menus and hand them to the waitress, saying sarcastically, “No rush, we like our food cold”. So then, one hour later, the waitress brings you coffee, cold, runny eggs, and burnt toast. She smiles sweetly, knowing that she will get a big tip having followed your wishes exactly. Continue reading

If you see a turtle on a fence post, just take him down

If you saw a turtle on a fence post, would you take him down?  Or would you take a few pictures and ask everyone how they thought he got there and what do they think should be done about it and how unfair it was for him to be put there and point fingers at who should be blamed and punished?  In the meantime, the turtle is on the fence post and would appreciate being taken down and left alone, out of the limelight. Just take him down and stop discussing him.

Missing someone? You’re just caught in the limbic loop

Just because you miss someone doesn’t mean you need them back in your life. Missing is just the part of moving on.” A friend posted that on Facebook.  My experience is what we think of as a longing for our lost love is often a longing for the relationship we imagined in our head, rather than the one we actually had.  Physically, it’s mostly muscle memory and being caught in what I call the limbic loop. The limbic system is responsible for emotions, memories, motivation, which means our memories feed our emotions which feed our feelings which feed our thoughts which feed our memories which feed… you get it. We can get caught in this endless cycle, or we can turn our attention elsewhere on purpose. Your mind keeps going back to its biggest thoughtform and running that in a loop unless you give it new experiences to mull over.  That mean to get yourself out among people you don’t know and do some things you don’t normally do.  Interact and talk with as many new people about as many new things as you can. If you find something that interests you, then get more info about it. This gives your mind something new to reflect on until your emotions can settle down and you get out of the limbic loop.

Tarot Card of the Day: 5 of Swords Reversed

Your Card for today.  Meditate upon the meaning this card might have for you since it showed up at this exact moment. Not everyone saw this.  Not everyone attracted this message onto their monitor.  YOU DID. There are no mistakes.
MEANING: You may be having an urge to prove that you are right about something to someone – and this could be a serious waste of time and energy. If you’re right, you’re right, and it doesn’t matter if people believe you. Put your energy into more productive efforts.  The reversed 5 of Swords indicates power struggles and conflicts.  Consider your priorities and the things that matter most to you. Be pleasant. Clear out the skeletons in your closet by Eda Pugliese-fey

Time to clear out the skeletons in your closet. No need to announce to the world all of your personal drama… instead go gently inside you and forgive yourself for any part you played in unkind roles. Roles that may have lead you to be irresponsible to yourself and others. Thank them for shaping your existence. While it may appear the heavy burdens you stuff into a closet will dissolve, it is not the case. The door can no longer close because your thoughts fed it to grow beyond what seems to be unbearable. The experiences of the past are not mistakes…. the choice to fuel them can be unhealthy. Today open the closet and turn the divine loving light on and ask for God to transmute all negative energy that no longer serves you and that does not resonate with who you truly are to Love, compassion, forgiveness. Breathe in your cleared space and fill it with beautiful creations of your now. Remember-The experiences of the past are not mistakes…. the choice to fuel them can be unhealthy.

How to Pivot Your Attention To Attract A Better Feeling

Anytime you feel negative emotion, stop and say:  Something is important here; otherwise, I would not be feeling this negative emotion. What is it that I want? And then simply turn your attention to what you do want.  In the moment you turn your attention to what you want, the negative attraction will stop; and in the moment the negative attraction stops, the positive attraction will begin. And—in that moment—your feeling will change from not feeling good to feeling good. That is the Process of Pivoting.

Yes that sex offender can go to church and be around kids. Another case of a third party having inaccurate info, not knowing it, and trying to help. It’s not helping him, it’s hurting.

I spent the last year with someone whom the legal system labelled a sex offender (not a predator, big distinction.)  Having a legal background, I familiarized myself with the law and the terms of his probation so that I, as the driver, would not inadvertently put him at risk.  First thing he did was made sure we could attend church together, it was no problem.  I awoke today to several Facebook messages asking me why sex offenders aren’t allowed to go to church, two mentioning my ex.  We’ve gone our separate ways so I don’t know what’s going on with him, but he IS allowed to go to church or choice of worship. If, however, there is a particular location that violates other terms of his probation, such as being near a school or city park, that’s a condition that might prevent his attendance. But he is allowed to go to church and worship.  He is also allowed to be around children unless, however, it is near a school or city park or location otherwise forbidden by probation.  Again that would be merely a location issue, as he is NOT forbidden to be around children. In the loving flow with everything around me, animate or inanimate

It used to feel odd to have big gushes of love flowing from me directed to no one in particular. I feel it for the lizard flirting with me on the window, for the tomatoes growing on the vine and for the feel of the mail in my hands as I take it from the box. Every movement a dance and caress. Ah, and now the jasmine is trying to get my attention, tempting me with her fragrance.  She plays hard to get all day yet, at nightfall, she opens wide and spills her scent for me.
