We can’t find our path without getting messy

“We can’t find our path without getting messy. Messy comes with the territory. We came in messy. We learn messy. We love messy. We grow messy. I never found my way to clarity without first befriending confusion, in all its chaotic forms. I never found a path that felt like home before falling into quick-sand. I never established a new way of being without trying the wrong way of being on for size. I never found the light without stumbling around in the dark. Not that all messiness is good messiness, but some of it is. In the heart of the chaos, is the clay that shapes us home. Chaotic Magnificence!” — Jeff Brown

I hafta say, I don’t think it needs to get messy, but when it does, it helps to read that this is what happens when I am not continually mindful. Good reminder when I begin to think I know it all.

Become transparent. Show the world you walk your talk—and when you don’t, what went wrong. Show the world your flaws.

Spiritual brother Wayne Wirs writes: “Personally, I don’t want to live my life as a hypocrite—or worse, die as one—so I strive for transparency in my blog. I don’t want to preach A while living B.  If you consider yourself a spiritual student or authority, even if you have no interest in becoming a teacher, I strongly urge you to start a blog, or if you have one, to intersperse your “teaching posts” with personal posts. You’ll be amazed at how humbling and eye opening the experience can be.  Become transparent. Show the world you walk your talk—and when you don’t, what went wrong. Show the world your flaws.” Continue reading

I finally have all the ick programs uninstalled from the laptop.  Remind friends to (1) don’t install programs on your computer and (2) if they do it anyway, tell them to not let all the peripherals automatically install with it and (3) when they do it all anyway — because what do they care, it’s not their computer — remember to check and uninstall them yourself.
