Anytime you interact with someone, what you experience is not necessarily what the other experiences. Unless you’re both good communicators, you don’t know that. You are each allowed to tell your story as you see it. You are allowed to tell what happened to you. What happened to you is enough – you do not need to embellish the story or make it more than it was. You also don’t have to take any sh*t for being brave enough to have your say, and to let others know they are not alone in having gone through the same experience. The truth is its own defense. Stick to it. Otherwise it is slander. And before you allege slander, make sure what you’re doing isn’t barratry.
