Adam Bernstein had a channel offer him an unsolicited message. Adam wrote “Against better judgment I said “OK” so her “spirit” message was “there is a lady who you like but she’s going to break your heart”. There is so much wrong with that statement where do I begin?” (His entire post is below.) I agree with Adam. I’ve had that happen to me many times in my 30+ years as a psychic. If they insist on giving me a reading I did not ask for, I let them have their say and I say thank you. What the untrained and unexperienced do not realize is that if they ‘see’ a problem, they can also look past it and see what the remedy is. They have to ask to see past it. They can look at the disaster and look past it to see what good will come after.
If all they talk about are the hard times, they don’t have the vision and insight to see past it. The clearer we are in our own life, the more unadulterated the message will be because it is not clouded by our own emotional astral filter. If you are a psychic and all you are seeing is images and visions of disasters, you just need to train yourself to see past the disaster. Have some system in place to create a timeline in your mind so that when you see the disaster you can step past it and see what comes next. What comes next is always of more importance. Here’s Adam’s entire post. It’s a good one.
Adam Bernstein writes: So I want to share an experience that illustrates several points I frequently wish to make with my students, colleagues as well as my friends here on FB that follow me. I was doing a reading for someone who believes she’s a channel and asked me if she could give me a message before I started her reading . Against better judgment I said “OK” so her “spirit” message was ” there is a lady who you like but she’s going to break your heart”. There is so much wrong with that statement where do I begin?
1. There Is only 1 person on this planet who has the power to break my heart. Me. End of story! Spirit will never give you a message that diminishes your power or gives another person that kind of power over you. Empowerment = taking responsibility.
Dis-empowerment = blaming others for your own sorrow
2. If I’m to have unrealistic expectations of any situations in my life then i indeed will wind up heart broken. Again Spirit gives us messages of empowerment and one thing Spirit will always teach us is that “expectation” takes us out of the present and into future possibilities which do not yet exist in this present moment and therefore diminishes our abilities to create positive results in our lives. Hopes, are fine. Desires too are fine as they charge this present moment with aspiration which is empowering but “expectation” takes us out of the present which is diminishing.
3. Spirit will never give messages that are fear based. It’s all about love. Telling me someone will “break my heart” is fear based and dis-empowering as it encourages me to withdrawal ( after all nobody wants a broken heart) , or not take the appropriate risks in life it takes to be successful and besides a “broken heart” can be a very valuable lesson into your own nature, that is if you don’t see it as the other person’s doing but rather take responsibility for your own thoughts and actions.
4. Spirit never speaks in absolutes and always provides tools for appropriate action. In this case the message was an absolute and provided zero insight and no room for what I could do to alter my path to avoid unnecessary heartache.
I could go on but I think you get the point. This channel may have gotten something valid and valuable for me but it got so filtered through her ego it became a reflection of her own fears and lost any value Spirit may have been attempting to provide me. If you get readings, or do message work yourself remember Spirit is based in love, not fear. Spirit will provide at least some pieces of information that are validatable ( though not all of it may be known at the time of the reading) and Spirit will always provide information for appropriate or alternative action depending upon the message.
