The power of an imaginary friend. How to attract a real life friend. A visualization process to lead you out of the vibrational stance of loss and into vibrational resonance with one who understands you

Never underestimate the power of an imaginary friend to change your life for the better.  A pal got ticked when he realized someone he spent 2 years with was not who she said she was. That’s been a theme for a year now. From day one, she blended into the family like a chameleon, he thought he’d found his true soul mate. Then his business failed and his income dipped. Within a month she had moved out and in with someone else. She would not return anyone’s calls or emails. A half dozen people she’d spent almost daily time with the last 2 years felt dumped by their best friend. How could she maintain the lie so consistently for so long? Only when they began comparing notes did they learn she’d told everyone a  different back story.  That she wasn’t a real friend didn’t negate the positive feelings she evoked as she mirrored each person back to themselves.  She played a very definite purpose in everyone’s lives and soul growth.

Each one felt completely supported by her, each one felt uniquely listened to and understood. Maybe the love was not real for her, maybe it was an imaginary “relationship,” but it brought forth real thoughts and emotions, inspiration and guidance to my friend and his family. It gave him a moment to think, how wonderful to be with someone who has lived a similar life to mine and has the same ideas and values and future goals. How wonderful to be with someone who appreciates everything I say and do and who is supportive of me in every way. How awesome to have someone that is as crazy about me as I am about them. How nice to have this kind of support on an every day basis for two years.  What an amazing exercise in creative visualization and pre-paving.

No matter that now it’s over. No matter that it wasn’t “real” for the other party.  My friend now has a bank of two year’s worth of memories and remembered feelings of emotion to draw from during his pre-paving/creative visualization sessions. Each of the family members do as well.

She came in and held a mirror to each one, reflecting back to them complete understanding and support. For the time they spent together, each felt they has a true confidante, someone who genuinely cared about them and their process, someone they felt uniquely understood by.  Feeling understood is huge. Even if it isn’t real for the other party, having the illusion of feeling understood is very powerful.

Even if we fill in the blanks of a silent partner and imaginary friend, feeling we are understood and have someone to travel this life journey alongside us is monumental. That’s what our inner being, our higher Self is doing for us all the time: guiding us to happiness, supporting us in what we have, cheer-leading us on to what we want.

We can’t hear our inner guidance when our emotions are riled. If we’ve felt emotionally intimate with someone for years and that is removed, our emotions flare.  If we’ve attached our feeling happy and supported to the person – now gone – rather than the situation, our happiness splits when the person splits.

I wrote my friend, “If you can remember it’s all about energy, you can bring to mind and recall that: you attracted this person, so you know from experience that it’s possible to attract someone who seems perfect in every way.  Your ex was evidence that you are on the right path. She was an indicator of where you were vibing.  She helped you clarify what you want: someone by your side through thick and thin. Here is a visualization process to lead you out of the vibrational stance of loss and into vibrational resonance with once again having a loving partner who understands you.

FIRST YOU RELEASE RESISTANCE
To help in the attraction process, you need to channel your emotions in a different direction. Where there’s resentment or anger or sadness, notice where it is in your body. Breathe a few long, deep breaths into it and let it gather at that location. Then begin to breathe down the Light of God into that area. Breathe in God’s love, and breathe out all anger and bad feeling.  Offer it up to God on the out breath, and breathe in God’s love on the in breath.  Let it fill you, then bask in that for a few moments.  What you’re doing here is a process that helps you release resistance.

RECALL A PAST GOOD TIME AND INVOKE THE FEELING OF IT
As you sit in this better feeling place, the next step – in getting over this person and attracting the more suitable partner – is to bring to mind a particular good time you spent with your partner in the past. Recall the feeling of passionate love and joy free flowing through your heart. Remind yourself that you can have that again, as soon as you begin to vibe in that place again.  The exercises you are doing here will guide you back into that vibe.

KEEP REMINDING YOURSELF WHAT YOU’RE DOING
Keep bringing to mind that what you’re doing here is a visualization process to lead you out of the vibrational stance of loss and into vibrational resonance with once again having a loving partner who understands you.”

As an imaginary friend, she fulfilled her purpose: to help you clarify what you want.   From a soul standpoint, that it wasn’t a “real” relationship doesn’t matter: it served to help you go within and do serious soul work. Now it’s up to you to keep your thoughts moving in the direction of what you want and why you want it. And the creative visualization above can help you do just that.
