If you’re good at a job but you’re not a nice person, I can’t refer business to you. Period. I’m always looking for accurate local psychics to refer callers to. The magazine pays for itself but psychic readings is my income the past 20+ years. I get calls for more sessions than I can handle, so I welcome referrals. And since everyone seems to have a different definition these days, I’m not talking about “spiritual counselors,” when I say “psychic.” I mean I’m looking for someone with the ability to intuit specific things that are happening in your life, and can make accurate predictions on a regular basis. I commented about Sylvia Browne yesterday. The general public is drawn to theatrics and rhetoric, so there are many self proclaimed celebrity psychics who charge outrageous fees and keep their clientele because they are charismatic and know what to say.
They know the power of their attention to the client, not unlike the next door neighbor conning your elderly mom out of her life savings under the guise of checking up on her every day. And not everyone is a con artist. Some mean well and want to be helpful. I’ve learned many who call themselves psychic might more accurately be called metaphysical mentors or life coaches. They may or may not be good at what they do. What they say may or may not help you see your situation in a new way and perhaps suggest courses of action you might take. And although I’m always looking for accurate psychics to refer callers to, I cannot refer anyone to them, because that is not “psychic.” A friend yesterday told me she’s had accurate predictions from a local reader whom I used to know. The person she mentioned was my best friend for many years. About 10 years ago she cut me off without explanation and bad mouthed me to mutual friends. When asked, she’d never tell me why. Knowing what I knew about this person, I could not in good conscience refer anyone to her. Through the years I’d seen her be mean and hateful and manipulative with several others, on purpose. People who grew up with that behavior think it’s no big deal to continue it into adulthood. I never want to be in energy like that. I’ve been pulled into that place before and I never want the karma for bringing that into anyone’s life. So, even if she’s an accurate psychic, knowing her to have been purposely mean and hurtful to people, I can’t refer business to her. Period. It takes so little effort to be kind. No matter how good you are at your job, if you’re a dick, I simply can’t refer business to you.
