To anyone who’s disappointed, stay hopeful. It’s still progress. It took more than one election cycle to put this system in place, it will take more than one to morph it. No matter who’s elected, no matter by what means, don’t take score too soon. It’s still progress. More people are more aware than at this time last year. Too little too late? Matters not. Rigged voting? Matters not. Give this stew time to brew. Change is in the air. We’re stronger than we think. It’s still progress. I’m hopeful.

This is how a human being can change: there’s a worm addicted to eating grape leaves. Suddenly he wakes up, call it grace, whatever, something wakes him, and he’s no longer a worm. He’s the entire vineyard,and the orchard too, the fruit, the trunks, a growing wisdom and joy that doesn’t need to devour.
