A friend’s shallow well water pump at home went out and I did a shout out on Facebook for referrals to get it replaced. The house was built in 2006 yet the pump had to be replaced in 2014. It should not have gone out again. Mine lasted me 25 years. I also asked my spidey sense friends to locate the receipt for the 2014 pump installation, which belongs in the manila envelope in the hutch. We’ve looked thru all paper in the house several times and can’t find it. A friend referred me to handyman Robert DiBenedetto, who was here an hour later.
The homeowner had noticed no water pressure in the sink. When he went into the garage to check the pump, he smelled electrical smoke. He found the windings had burned up and melted together in places, and that the switch had been over tightened and broken. The timer and 2 water softener units were also hooked into the pump, which they should not have been. The pump should have been mounted and off the floor. Thankfully it was done just 5-28-14 and the pump still had the seller code on it, so even without receipt we took the pump to The Waterman and they exchanged it. We’re not having the original guy fix it for obvious reasons. Robert made a 3:00pm appt and was here before 3:00pm. He’s highly recommended by a friend who has rental properties –> Robert DiBenedetto 321-216-1679 or 321-956-1102
