lizard tailThe lizard doesn’t lament the loss of the tip of his tail as it snips off in battle or play.  He doesn’t hang around the tail tip and watch it decompose or bury it and visit it every week and bring it flowers.  The lizard knows the tip of his tail, indeed his entire tail, is just a small part of him,  A small part of the greater He. So when we leave one life, whether in battle or play, we may lament the body left behind, but it’s only a lizard’s tale.
