Always leave a partner better than you found them

When you leave a partner, leave them with better relationship skills than they had before meeting you.  Leave them a better lover than they were.  Leave them with better life coping skills, and ideas for making the rest of their life happier, more fulfilling and self sufficient.  Leave them knowing that one person in their life can be trusted and counted on to do what they say they’ll do.  Leave them knowing that genuine and honorable people can be found in the world. Leave them knowing there are people who care about people and take them into consideration when things might impact their lives.  When you leave a partner, leave them better than you found them.  You’ll be better for it, too.

Ah, Fall: Code Enforcement Fine and Permit Season Begins

Ah, Fall!  When the weather turns cool, we Floridians like to grill out on the deck, sit on the screened porch and create outdoor sitting areas. A word of advice to do it yourselfers: Get a permit!  Code Enforcement are ninja and miss nothing.  A friend put up a fence and deck last year and figured since he was in the woods, it couldn’t be seen from the road.   After our  tree cutters left the neighborhood, that area was exposed.  Code Enforcement visited soon after and he’s going through the whole application permit inspection fine process.  He doubts it will pass inspection and he’s ticked because he poured money into it and knows it’s his own fault for cutting corners. If you insist on doing it yourself off the record, make sure it is built to code so it will pass inspection if they ever find you.  My woods look so inviting from the street, I made it easy on them and gave my Code Enforcement officer permission to walk onto my property at any time.   BOLO. They will find you.  Code Enforcement are like ninja!
