Ain’t that the truth?

I just saw this: Cell phones can and are being used as bugs at http://www.infowars.com/?p=6943? Hmmm.. glad I don’t have anything to hide…. Big Brother is here! Oh wait, who cares? I am ultimately in control of it all 🙂
Thursday January 8, 2009 I just downloaded Daniel Nahmod‘s Water CD. I love his song Everything New. “Bring it on, everything new, everything different, everything true, I am ready for my next thing to do, oh I know it’s gonna be everything new.” You can hear a sample at Everything New Sample. In 2009, as Deepak Chopra said on The Ellen Show this week, I am ready to embrace change. Continue reading
A journal entry from April 1995 says: “It does them no good if they’re unhappy unless you show them how to change their thought patterns:
(1) Journal to identify the source or area of discontent
(2) Write down what you want to accomplish on index cards
(3) Place the cards where you can see them throughout the day
(4) Before you start every day, read your cards and, for 10 minutes, add more information to them as it comes to you.”
Wow, was I living a different life in 1995. This exercise definitely works for me.
I found a journal entry from April 1995 where I wrote “TV sitcoms glorify miscommunication and deception.” Remember The Lucy Show? Every show was her hiding something from Ricky and the whole show was about the lies and deceit. Remind me… why is that funny?
Wednesday January 7, 2009 Deepak Chopra on Ellen yesterday at Youtube.comEllen and Deepak Chopra Ellen asked what his New Year’s Resolutions were and he replied, “To embrace change. To focus more on relationships and less on consumption. To find opportunities where others find problems.” Ellen asked “What can someone do to feel at peace?” Chopra replied, “Reflect on what do I want? What gives me meaning and purpose? If you live the questions life moves you into the answers.”
Wednesday January 7, 2009 I just discovered – on Twitter – Valerie Saurer’s Living Gratitude Blog and especially liked what she wrote on 12-24-08 entitled “Off to See the Wizard: The Myth of Personal Development”. Check it out!
A friend just told me that the Comments feature on this blog was asking him to sign in and give his email address before he could leave a comment. Until I can get that message off there, you do NOT have to give your info, just post the comment and it will come through. I think people should be able to comment anonymously, and I also don’t want people to think I am collecting their email addresses for later use. If they want me to have it, they will give it to me. If they want to sign up for the Horizons Magazine Newsletter then they will do it. Continue reading
Tuesday, January 6, 2009 Remember the movie Delirious where John Candy is the head writer for a soap opera and he gets conked on the head? In a dream he finds himself in his own soap opera and everything he types comes true. Someone is in trouble, he types in a scene that gets them out of trouble. He wants to hook up with Mariel Hemingway and he writes it into the script and it happens. Wouldn’t that be the deal? Everything you type come true? Continue reading
