I got a surprise this morning when I stopped to see a friend. After I left, I remembered something and came back. I honked as I pulled in the driveway and he met me at the door. We stepped into the house to pick up the item I forgot, and I could hear he’d turned the radio on. Fox News Radio blared. Really loud. I made a joke at the time but just now it percolated back into consciousness. It never occurred to me that this person would listen to the news, much less Fox news, before work every day. That that is part of his routine in preparing for the day. Not that I’m judging what he wants to do, I’m just surprised is all.
I wrote before that it doesn’t matter if it’s true, repeating a whiney story doesn’t help you. That goes double for listening to the news and contemplating what the news guys say and worrying about what they say and wondering if what they say is true and comparing it to stuff that ultimately doesn’t matter. The bottom line is, if you have any area of your life you’re working to improve, like income or career or health, listening to the news on a regular basis will be one thing that introduces a lot of resistance into the mix, and it will keep what you want at arms’ length from you. It’s all related.
If you think it’s not related, look at your life. The life you’re living right now is a result of what you are thinking about at least more than half the time. Maybe it’s not a bad life, but know it or not, you’re worrying at least enough to keep the balance tipped in favor of your life consisting of you just barely scraping by, just as the news says. When the news plants those ideas, then you start thinking it must be true and you start looking for evidence it’s true and then keeping track of what you find and talking to friends who found the same thing.
If you stay glued to the news, you are being constantly reminded that someone is out to take away what you have and what you’ve worked so hard for. A steady diet of this and I would start believing it, too. Domino knows he’s more powerful than that. But he’s got himself into a routine where he doesn’t believe that watching the news impacts what he attracts into his own experience, so he continues to do it. Heck, he’s used to it. That’s the point, he’s used to it and it’s on autopilot in his consciousness, which is evidenced by what shows up in his life. Take a look, the life you’re living right now is a result of what you are thinking about consistently. Do you really want to live this way another 40 years, when you have access to so much more? Just give it some independent thought, take a news fast for a month and see what the voice inside you begins saying.
It’s kind of funny when I think about it. I’m trying to introduce Domino to subtle energy awareness so he can understand how I, as a psychic and clairvoyant, see the world. Domino meditates, so he’s not clueless by any standard. In our sessions, my goal is to lull him into a mentally receptive state so he can be become more aware of nonphysical energy. We have moments of connection but are often on two different channels. And now I get why. I get the image of him listening to talk radio or the news until the time he pulls in the parking lot. I wonder if he listens to it on the way home. If he listens to it on the way home, then I’m not doing my job. And if I’m not doing my job, I don’t wanna waste anyone’s money. By the fruits, we shall know.
