{"id":8765,"date":"2010-05-03T21:11:13","date_gmt":"2010-05-04T02:11:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\/blog\/?p=8765"},"modified":"2010-05-03T21:26:43","modified_gmt":"2010-05-04T02:26:43","slug":"were-back-to-normal-florida-weather-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\/blog\/were-back-to-normal-florida-weather-again\/","title":{"rendered":"We&#8217;re back to normal Florida weather again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I really hit the floor running Monday morning.\u00a0 I did a pile of paperwork, returned a bunch of calls, and did a shout out on Facebook for ads for the June <a href=\"http:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\" target=\"_blank\">Horizons<\/a>.\u00a0 I went outside and watered the entire front of the property before 10am.\u00a0 There is a line of jatropha (a kind of almond) trees along the front that are coming back nicely, and I want to keep them watered this year.\u00a0 I turned the a\/c on Saturday afternoon.\u00a0 I was glad to have made it through April being able to keep the windows open.\u00a0 I am under such good shade here that the house stays pretty cool.\u00a0 I like having the windows open so I can hear the outside sounds: the crickets, the birds, the squirrels, the wind in the leaves and the chimes, the rustle of the soft bamboo leaves.\u00a0 <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I did administrative work in the afternoon and about 6pm I went outside and watered the back of the property, cutting all those little viney thorny <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wildflower.org\/plants\/result.php?id_plant=SMBO2\" target=\"_blank\">saw greenbriers<\/a>. I have to keep on top of it to keep it out of the tops of my ornamental trees.
