{"id":41962,"date":"2010-12-20T11:47:39","date_gmt":"2010-12-20T16:47:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\/blog\/?p=41962"},"modified":"2015-07-19T12:00:43","modified_gmt":"2015-07-19T17:00:43","slug":"vitamin-d-helps-me-with-the-spidey-sense","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\/blog\/vitamin-d-helps-me-with-the-spidey-sense\/","title":{"rendered":"Vitamin D helps me with the spidey sense"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I wrote before that in October, I began taking a Vitamin D supplement <u>http:\/\/www.vitacost.com\/Source-Naturals-Vitamin-D-400-IU-100-Tablets<\/u>\u00a0dosage of 400 IU three times a day for a month after hearing the<u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vitaminddeficiencysymptomsguide.com\/low-vitamin-d-levels-in-blood\/\"><u>\u00a0symptoms for Vitamin D deficiency <\/u><\/a><\/u>included low energy, fatigue, crankiness.\u00a0 I was more low energy than cranky, but figured I might need it.\u00a0 The\u00a0<u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wuesthoffreferencelab.com\/\"><u>blood test results<\/u><\/a><\/u>\u00a0for my \u201cVitamin D, 25 hydroxy\u201d score was low at 28.\u00a0<em>And that was after taking it three times a day for a month before the test!\u00a0<\/em>It says the optimum level is 30-80 ng\/mL.\u00a0 In December I doubled my dosage\u00a0<u><a href=\"http:\/\/findarticles.com\/p\/articles\/mi_m0ISW\/is_280\/ai_n16865219\/\"><u>after reading more about it<\/u><\/a><\/u>, and am now taking two 400 IU tabs three times a day, after eating.\u00a0 That\u2019s 2400 IU.\u00a0\u00a0<u><a href=\"http:\/\/health.usnews.com\/health-news\/blogs\/on-women\/2009\/08\/05\/how-much-vitamin-d-should-you-be-taking\"><u>People with higher rates of vitamin D in their blood have lower rates of disease and lower death rate, wind up with fewer bone fractures and fewer falls<\/u><\/a><\/u>.\u00a0 I can\u2019t remember when I last had a cold, and my bones are strong.\u00a0\u00a0 <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>One added benefit I\u2019ve noticed from taking 2400 IU of vitamin D every day is that several times in the past several weeks, I\u2019ve suddenly become aware that the person\u00a0<u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.horizonsmagazine.com\/Phone_sessions\/index.html\"><u>I was doing a reading for<\/u><\/a><\/u>\u00a0was deficient in vitamin D.\u00a0 It was one of the first things I noticed psychically.\u00a0 I suggested they get their blood tested and then Google \u201cvitamin D deficiency\u201d if they were and educate themselves.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, I know that it\u2019s likely just my added attention and focus on the topic of vitamin D that is drawing forth the vitamin D guidance.\u00a0 It\u2019s interesting how that works;
