That\u2019s my basic belief about business, clients, anything: \u201cFor every one I lose, a dozen more will come.\u201d \u00a0I never lament the loss of anything. \u00a0Something else always takes its place. \u00a0Growing up, I have\u00a0a history<\/a>\u00a0of being a survivor of those who died. More recently, \u00a0in 2008, I lost Danny<\/a>, a close pal from childhood. \u00a0In 2013, I said goodbye to one I thought would be a lifelong friend.\u00a0 Two weeks ago my 14 year old\u00a0Maine coon kitty Izzy passed<\/a>.\u00a0 A week ago\u00a0I lost Wally, my closest childhood friend\u00a0<\/a>of 54 years. \u00a0That was the loss that took me by surprise and devastated me. With whom would I share history now? \u00a0Even in my emotional distress, I knew there would be those who came out of the woodwork to fill in the spaces, even \u00a0if I could not imagine right now who that might be.\u00a0\u00a0In 2003, after 37 years apart, my brother Jerry resurfaced<\/a>, after our father said he\u2019d died. \u00a0So it was no surprise when a handful of cousins began finding me on Facebook within a week of losing Wally. \u00a0In addition, I reconnected with a fellow devotee and I learned one friend\/ author\/ client has similar background as I do and we\u2019re forming a friendship. \u00a0We\u2019ve spoken for years but never on a personal level; she\u2019s a soul sister for sure. Several gentlemen have expressed interest, however I am seeking only brothers on the Path. \u00a0Best of all, Wally\u2019s sister Linda and I have become closer through the shared loss. \u00a0It never fails: when the Universe \u201ctakes\u201d one person from me, a handful more show up in their place. \u00a0I am blessed indeed.<\/p>\n
