In a reading last night,\u00a0Domino<\/a>\u00a0is having problems with her new man, complaining to her last man (whom she left for the new one) and surprised he\u2019s full of \u201cI told you so.\u201d\u00a0 Domino doesn\u2019t take criticism well. I\u2019ve known her about 10 years.\u00a0 She\u2019ll cut friends off when they call her on her stuff, she\u2019ll refuse to discuss to resolve it.\u00a0 She\u2019ll move from person to person with the same behavior, ignoring the carnage she leaves behind her. She said \u201cYou\u2019re the only friend I\u2019ve got.\u201d\u00a0 I told her, \u201cI\u2019m not your friend.\u00a0 I would not be friends with someone who would rather cut me off than have a simple, honest conversation about what any concern or conflict might be.\u201d\u00a0 I told her she lives in a small town and she\u2019s running out of untested candidates.\u00a0 Her best bet was to go deep inside herself and bring to mind, one at a time, each one she has alienated herself from.\u00a0 Do the\u00a0Hawaiian Forgivness Ho\u2019oponopono Process\u00a0\u00a0<\/a>on them, apologize to them in your mind, tell them you are sorry for your part in the conflict, ask them to forgive you, thank them and tell them you love them.\u00a0 And mean it.\u00a0\u00a0Only ever wish for anyone else what you wish for yourself.<\/a>\u00a0 If she had a problem with any particular person, I told her to do\u00a0Harry Palmer\u2019s Compassion Exercise\u00a0<\/a>until she felt the change wthin her.\u00a0 She said she\u2019d try it.\u00a0 Here\u2019s the exercise:\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n

\nHonesty with one\u2019s self leads to compassion for others.
\nOBJECTIVE: To increase the amount of compassion in the world.
\nEXPECTED RESULT: A personal sense of peace.<\/h2>\n

INSTRUCTIONS: This exercise can be done anywhere that people congregate (airports, malls, parks, beaches, etc). It should be done on strangers, unobtrusively, from some distance. Try to do all five steps on the same person.<\/p>\n

Step 1 With attention on the person, repeat to yourself:
\n\u201cJust like me, this person is seeking some happiness for his\/her life\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Step 2 With attention on the person, repeat to yourself:
\n\u201cJust like me, this person is trying to avoid suffering in his\/her life.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Step 3 With attention on the person, repeat to yourself:
\n\u201cJust like me, this person has known sadness, loneliness and despair.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Step 4 With attention on the person, repeat to yourself:
\n\u201cJust like me, this person is seeking to fulfill his\/her needs.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Step 5 With attention on the person, repeat to yourself:
\n\u201cJust like me, this person is learning about life.\u201d<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n
