A friend was speaking about why they wait to have sex in a new relationship. \u00a0“<\/span>The whole process of courtship and anticipation leading up to the moment of intimacy,” <\/em>Love says, “makes the act of two people surrendering themselves body and soul to each other a magical, and spiritual experience that brings two people so close to being one<\/em>.” \u00a0Patrick B McGinnis<\/a>,\u00a0LMHC, Sex Therapist, Relationship Counselor\u00a0<\/a>says, “Go slowly, take the time to really know the other person. Once you become sexual it can seem like love but it often isn’t.<\/em>” \u00a0<\/span>I agree.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0I think some things are meant only for those we’ve known awhile. I’m never ready to jump into anything simply because the chemistry is there. Unless I think someone is going to be a significant part of my life, I just don’t go there.<\/span><\/p>\n
