Lumen<\/p><\/div>\n

I worked as a criminal defense paralegal for 22 years, and am glad to help friends maneuver through the judicial system. \u00a0The past few months I’ve been juggling two friends, their appointments for probation intake, law enforcement interviews and counseling evaluations. \u00a0It’s the first time for both of them. \u00a0They were convicted of similar offenses, received similar sentences and have completely opposite attitudes. \u00a0Observing them act and react in their new situations has been an interesting display of law of attraction at work.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Domino<\/a>\u00a0had a privileged childhood and a college education. \u00a0I’ve known his parents for 35 years and he’s had a lot of opportunity. He always seemed to make poor choices and ended up in some kind of trouble. \u00a0He has4 children by 4 different wives. \u00a0He just came out of six months’ jail time where he felt he was railroaded by the court system. \u00a0They did him wrong! \u00a0It’s not fair! They are making him jump through hoops! \u00a0And the intake personnel? \u00a0Bitches!<\/em>\u00a0 You know the type. \u00a0Plus he can’t restrain his habitual arrogant and cocky remarks. \u00a0Serving his sentence, he spent his time ordering around his parents to keep his commissary account funded and run his personal errands.<\/p>\n

Lumen<\/a>, on the other hand, grew\u00a0up in a working family. \u00a0They had their problems, but there was love at the core. \u00a0Lumen had to work hard for whatever he got and did without much, including higher education.\u00a0\u00a0Ten years into an abusive marriage, he finally left after an argument in which his wife pulled a gun on him. \u00a0That evening turned into a drunken stupor which earned him six month’s time; reading his incident report, he was horrified and ashamed. Incarceration was\u00a0the first time in years he’d had time t0 be alone with his thoughts. \u00a0He considered his life and saw he’d made wrong decisions. \u00a0Lightbulbs went off for him. \u00a0While he was inside he formulated a 3 year plan and clarified several goals. He listed everyone he’d wronged, even inadvertently. \u00a0He did a lot of apology and forgiveness work. \u00a0He was a compassionate listener to his cellmates and helped them reframe troubled times in their lives in light of new understanding. \u00a0Once he was out, he was genuinely grateful and appreciative.<\/p>\n

The difference in these two attitudes reflects the law of attraction at work in the form of the difference in the outcome each received. \u00a0Domino<\/a>\u00a0was ordered to report to weekly probation, weekly counseling for anger management, daily meetings for AA and he has a curfew. \u00a0Domino<\/a>\u00a0 is furious over what he’s being made to do and the limitations he received.<\/p>\n

Lumen<\/a>, on the other hand,\u00a0received less attendance time, but is not concerned with any perceived limitations, no matter what they are. \u00a0He figures it is what it is, and there’s no option to NOT doing what was laid out for him. \u00a0It’s a no brainer. \u00a0You designate a priority in your life and you work everything else around that, period, end of story.<\/p>\n

You’re in charge of how you choose to act and react. \u00a0You’re in charge of how much resistance you allow into your vibration, and your resistance determines your outcome. \u00a0The power is yours. \u00a0All you have to do is remember and recognize you\u2019ve got the power.<\/p>\n
