{"id":18308,"date":"2012-02-10T12:22:06","date_gmt":"2012-02-10T17:22:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\/blog\/?p=18308"},"modified":"2012-02-10T12:23:24","modified_gmt":"2012-02-10T17:23:24","slug":"i-love-it-when-friends-help-me-see-my-stuff-so-i-can-work-on-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\/blog\/i-love-it-when-friends-help-me-see-my-stuff-so-i-can-work-on-it\/","title":{"rendered":"I love when friends help me see my stuff so I can work on it"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_10910\" style=\"width: 118px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10910\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10910\" title=\"72 2-22-09 laughing\" src=\"http:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/72-2-22-09-laughing.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"108\" height=\"144\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-10910\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Laughing at myself<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I got a little irked recently. \u00a0I spoke with a friend last week about a situation and they made a comment about a red flag. \u00a0Hours afterward, I emailed to explain I was not blind to what they see as a red flag, and I explained why. \u00a0It was something I struggled putting into writing since it was a private matter. \u00a0I felt it was an important foundation for them to know about me. \u00a0I wrestled with myself whether I should send it or not and finally did. \u00a0Then I let them know I&#8217;d sent it and that it was of a sensitive and important nature &#8212; to me. \u00a0A week later they&#8217;re just opening it. \u00a0I love it when my feelings get hurt over stupid stuff like this because it shows me how attached I can get to nonsense that doesn&#8217;t really matter in the long run. \u00a0I love it when friends take something I hold dear and treat it like debris because it reminds me of the impermanence of everything.
