Has anyone noticed this besides me? \u00a0On Facebook, there’s this silly post going around, \u00a0it says, “Go to your profile. Look to your left. First 7 friends are your Zombie Apocalypse Team. Here’s mine.” \u00a0Then you list them in the order they appear. \u00a0Mine were:
\nSidekick:\u00a0Tim Tedana
\nHeavy Weapons:\u00a0Robert Goldberg
\nThe idiot that survives:\u00a0Morgana Starr
\nThe Sniper:\u00a0Miro Posavec
\nThe one that loses it:\u00a0Julie Hall
\nThe Brains:\u00a0Raymond Hines III
\nThe First to Die:\u00a0Sharon Greene<\/p>\n

I don’t know what the name Zombie Apocalyse refers to exactly, a movie or game, but I get the drift. <\/em> I didn’t think too much about the post I made, except thought it was funny that Morgana Starr<\/a> was The Idiot Who Survives. \u00a0 LOL \u00a0 She would be. \u00a0Then, as friends began posting on their Walls, I began taking delight in who each had as The Idiot Who Survives\u00a0and I began to see a pattern.<\/p>\n

The first time it happened, my heart gave a little leap of happy at the news, then I began to see it again and again and again. \u00a0Granted it wasn’t everyone but it was a notable proportion. \u00a0Many friends who overcame some form of cancer<\/a> in the past 10 years were being named as The Idiot Who Survives. \u00a0Friends who were currently\u00a0undergoing cancer therapies were being named as The Idiot Who Survives. \u00a0I liked that little wink from the Universe. \u00a0With today’s new medical technology, cancer is no longer such a scary word.<\/p>\n

And, as friends with it have told me, their thoughts are generally: “Each morning I wake up with the thought that it’s a good day to go and a good day to stay. \u00a0It doesn’t matter either way.” \u00a0That is such a free place to be. \u00a0I find it comforting to know there is no separation. \u00a0And that everyone I ever loved is on the other side waiting with open arms when it’s my time to cross. \u00a0I know it and believe it and have faith in it. \u00a0And when it feels like the next logical step, I’ll be there.<\/p>\n
