This is Florida and we get lots of bugs outside, especially living in a wooded area as we do. \u00a0When my Uncle Jimmy built my house in 1984, \u00a0he put 100 pounds of boric acid<\/a> in the walls, which he said would control the bugs, especially the \u00a0palmetto bugs and cockroaches. \u00a0It apparently worked really well because until last year, 27 years later, I hadn’t seen any bugs inside except for the occasional ant. \u00a0Last year I saw a small roach on two occasions and Saturday I saw one in my kitchen cabinet. \u00a0That was all it took to get me out to buy a Raid Concentrated Deep Reach insect fogger<\/a> and set it off before I left for church.<\/p>\n

I got home four hours later, knowing I’d spend the rest of the day cleaning every surface and dish and floor before the kitties came in. \u00a0 What I did not expect was that after all that, I would only get four dead roaches out of it. \u00a0Well, for me that was four too many, but it’s a testament to how well boric acid works as a repellent<\/a>. \u00a0By contrast, when I set off the fogger in the shed, \u00a0it killed a couple of dozen. \u00a0I did the Ho’oponopono prayer<\/a> for them:\u00a0\u00a0I forgave them for being there, I apologized for whatever my part in \u00a0the situation, I thanked them and told them I love them. \u00a0And meant it. \u00a0If you’re in Florida and in a wooded area and have insects inside the house, read up on boric acid or buy some 20 Mule Team Borax<\/a> and try it for yourself.<\/p>\n
