I bought my original Magic Bullet Model MB1001 mini blender<\/a> online in 2005.\u00a0 Friends had one and paid about $50 for it, so I price shopped and found one on eBay that I got for $22 including shipping.\u00a0 It’s lasted me – this will be the 5th year.\u00a0 I mostly use it to make hummus and tahina sauce<\/a>, so it’s cutting parsley and garlic too, not exactly light duty.\u00a0 Yesterday, right after I made some fresh babaganoush<\/a>, the motor died.\u00a0 Drat.\u00a0 Now I had an entire 21 piece set of something that I no longer had a working base for.\u00a0 Well, I only ever used the base and one container anyway.\u00a0 I went online and Googled Magic Bullet Model MB1001<\/a> to see what other people have said when theirs died on them.<\/p>\n

Someone suggested the website at http:\/\/www.buythebullet.com\/<\/a> and so I emailed them from their contact page.\u00a0 I told them my base motor had stopped working and it was several years old.\u00a0 I asked if I could purchase a replacement base unit.\u00a0 They wrote back and told me to call 866-446-6352 and I’d be able to order a base.\u00a0 I called and the price was $19.98 including shipping.\u00a0 That was a deal.\u00a0 I ordered 2, so when this one goes, I’ll have a spare. I should have them in 7-10 days.\u00a0 It’s a good thing I found my old Osterizer blender so I don’t need to go that long without hummus, tahina sauce<\/a>, and babaganoush<\/a>.<\/p>\n
