I read in The women in the Tiger Woods Scandal<\/a>:\u00a0 As the Tiger Woods story continues to evolve and escalate (see: his apology)<\/a>, a handful of women who aren’t named Mrs. Woods have come into the fray claiming they’ve had affairs with the golf great. It can be quite confusing — so many mistresses, so little time — so PopEater took the time to break down each alleged Tiger poacher and the stories swirling around them. <\/em>Then the story continued on to show pics and give some dish on each.\u00a0 My thoughts on this matter of his alleged infidelity was – with all due respect – who cares?<\/p>\n

Lots of my buddies won’t like this part:<\/em> I wrote in Infidelity; Cheaters; Sex Decoys: Love Stings<\/a> that I know that just because my partner can be tempted doesn\u2019t mean they don\u2019t love me and that I can\u2019t have a happy life with them.<\/em> <\/em>It\u2019s not what they are doing that causes the problem, it is my reaction to what I think about what they are doing that causes the arguments<\/span>. <\/span> It helps to remember that intentions change, and we can live happier lives when we allow wiggle room for that. Don\u2019t make more of it than it needs to be.\u00a0 Don\u2019t jeopardize your own happy life by making it an issue and having an attitude about it. Get over it and get okay with it or get out of it.<\/em><\/p>\n

Sure, we can go all in to society demanding commitment and setting moral boundaries; into learning to attract partners that can be conscious and choose to exercise personal discipline.\u00a0 But none of that overrides the fact of nature that Humans Are Simpy Not Made Monogamous: A Biological View<\/a>.\u00a0 The government can outlaw gravity, but that will not change the fact that the natural force of gravity is gonna do its work nonetheless<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Tiger Woods, Brad Pitt, Joe the Plumber, it doesn’t matter who it is.\u00a0 Do yourself a favor and stop connecting two events that don’t need to be connected.<\/em> He can absolutely love you.\u00a0 He can absolutely want to raise a family with you and be with you for the rest of his life.\u00a0 That does not have to change if he has encounters with other women.\u00a0 Remember,\u00a0it\u2019s not his cheating<\/em> that causes the problem, it is your change of attitude and behavior afterward.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you have good reason? <\/em>It’s not about whether you have good reason to be mad and whether you’re justified, it’s about do you love this person and want to continue to be in a relationship with them<\/em>?\u00a0 That’s all this is about.\u00a0 Everything else is just a thought in your head, and you are the one who can control those.<\/p>\n

He can be smart in all other areas of his life yet feel at the mercy of his hormones when it comes to sex.\u00a0 He can be completely stupid in the face of evidence he may lose his entire family and lifestyle over it.\u00a0 Don’t take advantage of that.\u00a0 If he’s a good man and you love him, his relationship with anyone else does not have to affect his relationship with you.\u00a0 The only place it can do that is in your mind and you are the one in charge of what you allow yourself to continue thinking.<\/p>\n

Of course he should be respectful and not allow anyone to call you, nor appear at your door.\u00a0 But don’t demand to know where he is every moment, and he doesn’t need a play by play of your daily events either.\u00a0 Don’t play games.\u00a0 Don’t make stupid, jealous comments, ever.\u00a0 Let him look and appreciate other women.\u00a0 So what?\u00a0 Don’t cause unnecessary drama.\u00a0 Be as fun as you were when you first met.\u00a0 The less you make any controversy an issue, the more likely you are to have a long and successful relationship.\u00a0 And isn’t that what it’s all about?<\/p>\n

Of course, don’t stay with anyone you feel does not respect you.<\/p>\n

But infidelity is a separate issue.<\/p>\n
