{"id":39692,"date":"2015-02-22T09:01:09","date_gmt":"2015-02-22T14:01:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\/blog\/?p=39692"},"modified":"2023-02-08T13:07:55","modified_gmt":"2023-02-08T18:07:55","slug":"finding-words-to-express-what-it-feels-to-lose-someone-ive-never-lost","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\/blog\/finding-words-to-express-what-it-feels-to-lose-someone-ive-never-lost\/","title":{"rendered":"Finding words to express what it feels to lose someone I&#8217;ve never lost"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_39677\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Mataji-sitting721.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-39677\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-39677\" src=\"http:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Mataji-sitting721-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Our Mataji, Ma Yoga Shakti\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-39677\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Our Mataji, Ma Yoga Shakti<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I cannot grieve when I know there is no separation.\u00a0 My <strong>mother<\/strong> passed in 1996,\u00a0 but there&#8217;s been no grief as I still feel her with me.\u00a0 I know that&#8217;s how it works.\u00a0 Beloved guru<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\/blog\/?p=39676\">Ma Yoga Shakti left her body this week<\/a> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">and passed on to the next stage of her journey.\u00a0When we check out of our physical body, our work takes on a new dimension.\u00a0 I was drawn to move from <strong>Miami<\/strong> in <strong>1983<\/strong> and had my home built just 6.9 miles from her <strong>Palm Bay ashram<\/strong><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/yogashakti.org\"> Yoga Shakti Mission<\/a>.\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #000000;\">She was a disciplined teacher.\u00a0 She did not coddle; it was all about taking what you learn and doing practical work with it in the world.\u00a0 The guru\/disciple relationship is a very private, internal, subjective relationship.\u00a0 It goes beyond darshan and satsang, beyond having conversations and attending events.\u00a0 There is an inner connection made strong through daily meditation and internal dialogue.\u00a0<em> You essentially practice a separation of consciousness to enable you to experience your existence apart from your physical body.\u00a0 In doing so, you come to know the Universe as being responsive to your thoughts and internal dialogue.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em> <!--more--><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">So right now it&#8217;s hard for me to find words to express what it feels to lose someone I have never lost.\u00a0 <strong>Osho<\/strong> said, on the eventual passing of him as a guru and master, <em>&#8220;<strong>Just look silently and deeply and you will find your master everywhere. The whole existence will become suffused with your master. And of course the moment a master dies, he makes the whole existence sacred for his disciples. In the stones they will touch him, in the flowers they will see his colors, in the rainbows they will see his beauty.\u00a0 Even if I leave the body I will be as much available as I am right now. But the only thing to remember is \u2013 are you available to me? I am available to you, and I will remain as available forever. If you are available to me then there is no need to be afraid, then a link exists. It is a personal relationship, it is a love affair. If you are open to me, even if this body disappears, it is not going to make any difference.
