\"astrology-ciro-marchetti\"<\/a>A friend reads the daily Facebook horoscopes and today’s concerned her: “Your path is becoming more difficult to navigate than you first thought.<\/em>” Her situation is that she let her son and a friend live in her home for a year, with the idea to help her fix it up to sell. The bottom line is no one ever helped her as promised, no one contributed money, she finally put her foot down and they left. \u00a0All is well. Then she read her horoscope today and got worried again:\u00a0“Your path is becoming more difficult to navigate than you first thought. Perhaps somebody is trying to dissuade you from your plan or even thwart you. Don’t give up \u2013 see it as a challenge and a test of your will. Defend your plans and push forward, or adapt your ideas to current circumstances.<\/em>” I told her that nothing makes our path more difficult than we ourselves do via our repeated thoughts. We can make it easy and we can make it hard. \u00a0Whatever it is.<\/p>\n

When you read “horoscopes,” that’s sun sign astrology and it’s only talking about 1\/10th of your total chart.<\/span> <\/span>If you’re going to read online horoscopes, \u00a0at least read also your rising sign and your moon sign to get a true representation. \u00a0I find people tend to be more like their rising sign than their sun sign<\/span><\/span>. My friend is a Pisces sun, but a Taurus rising and Leo moon. She has three planets in Aries. Reading a Pisces horoscope is unlikely to apply to her. Yet she reads them and believes them and lets them scare her – for nothing. \u00a0Much of what happens to her, and to all of us, is a self fulfilling prophecy anyway. We all know that, right?<\/p>\n

As far as her horoscope saying “Perhaps somebody is trying to dissuade you from your plan or even thwart you. Don’t give up. Defend your plans.” <\/em>I told her that is the good news. \u00a0Her house is set for foreclosure sale, and that may mean she gets an extension of time to continue living there. Otherwise, as her horoscope says, “\u00a0… \u00a0push forward, or adapt your ideas to current circumstances.<\/em>” She will. She’ll adapt to whatever comes up. \u00a0She’s a chameleon. In the meantime, it’s a waste of energy to be afraid of what an online horoscope predicts for you. \u00a0That’s just someone else’s limited perception of what the magnitude of your life is.<\/p>\n
