Giant Maine Coon Izzy likes to be stationed either at the hallway, so he can see anything that comes in the cat door or the front and back doors.\u00a0 My sleek haired, black and white masked harlequin YinYang likes to be in a box top on top of an end table by the tv, with a view toward the living room and backyard.\u00a0 When Izzy finds YinYang in his spot every so often, he just acts like he didn&#8217;t even notice and goes elsewhere.\u00a0 When Yinny finds Izzy in <em>her<\/em> spot however, she goes all King Kong on his fuzzy butt.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The last 3 days, Izzy has spent the entire time sleeping on a carpeted step in my bathroom.\u00a0 He typically has a few favorite shady spots in the yard for his daily sleep rotation and rarely comes in my room at all.\u00a0 Then last night he came into my evening sitting area, something else he rarely does.\u00a0 I scratched his ears and brushed his fur and was delighted when he jumped up onto the table to sit by <span style=\"color: #000000;\">me. Then I realized he was in YinYang&#8217;s box top. The sun had just gone down, so she was due in any time!\u00a0 <\/span>I kept wondering if I should move him.\u00a0 Then I reasoned he&#8217;d move on his own soon enough, since he never stays close long.\u00a0 And I liked him being close.\u00a0 He settled in for a nice, long nap.\u00a0 I knew Yinny would be in any minute.\u00a0 I elected to pick him up, box top and all, and lay him on the credenza just next to the small table.\u00a0 Then I ran and got another box top and laid it on Yinny&#8217;s table, and by the time she came in, it was waiting for her.\u00a0 YinYang is very territorial and I&#8217;ve seen her pitch her little fits. I&#8217;m always glad when she lets one slide.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">I have a psychic medium client I&#8217;ll call Tracie<\/span>.\u00a0 Tracie is from Santa Fe, NM where there are a lot of practitioners in her field.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a big city but a small community and consequently the various mediums all share clients from the same bank of spiritual seekers.\u00a0 Tracie has only been in the area 2 years so is a relative newcomer and she was surprised to encounter so much jealousy and competition among the readers.\u00a0 Several have told her that &#8220;mediums don&#8217;t intrude on other mediums&#8217; territory.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tracie was surprised by the infighting and competition between the &#8220;readers, healers and teachers&#8221; in the metaphysical genre there.\u00a0 I mean, these people talk about law of attraction and karma and &#8230; well, you get it.\u00a0 I told her that<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> it didn&#8217;t matter what profession you are in, or what genre.\u00a0 There will always be people who do what they say they do and who believe what they say they believe, and there will be others who don&#8217;t walk their talk, and who get jealous and feel competitive. A lot of them still don&#8217;t realize that they attract their clientele by virtue of right of consciousness.\u00a0 It doesn&#8217;t matter if there are 100 clients and 10 practitioners, that does not mean everyone is entitled to 10 each.\u00a0 You attract what you attract by virtue of the way you view what you do, and what you expect and believe about the doing of it.\u00a0 With that in mind, it&#8217;s impossible to intrude on any one else&#8217;s territory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>I once went to a new age fair with am American friend of mine who followed the Sikh tradition.\u00a0 Amrit dressed in traditional Sikh garb and wore his long hair under a white turban.\u00a0 We spent the day just watching the fair events, it was all families and it was a nice long day of fun and food and music and friends.\u00a0 At the end of the day, I dropped him off at his place and hugged him goodbye.\u00a0 That was when I felt the shoulder holster and the gun he kept in it, under his robe.\u00a0 <em>WTF?????\u00a0 <\/em>&#8220;Sikhs are the saint soldiers,&#8221; he told me, &#8220;always prepared for battle.&#8221;\u00a0 <em>What? <\/em>So that means you need to pack heat for just a day in the park with a bunch of tree huggers?\u00a0 He and I had previously had many conversations about meditation and spiritual discipline and personal practice and the need for peace and belief and faith in God.\u00a0 So I guess he packed the gun just in case God decided not to show up and protect him at the last minute??<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">I lifted a giant burden from myself when I stopped all thoughts that I had to protect against something.\u00a0 I mean, yes, I keep my doors locked and have a security system, but I mean as far thinking that people can steal ideas and business from me?\u00a0 If they do, then it was theirs by right of consciousness and not mine in the first place<\/span>.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t feel anything is &#8220;my territory&#8221; or feel intruded upon by <em>invaders.<\/em> Many of the people I do readings for tell me who else they also get readings from.
