Domino <\/a>has been seeing an ex boyfriend. Not with the goal of getting back together,\u00a0 just hanging out as friends and coworkers. Their split last year was amicable and both are ok with it.\u00a0 So last week out of the blue, her ex makes a pass <\/a>and they get cuddly and it was a fun moment, then back to business and pals.\u00a0 Two days later he’s treating her differently.\u00a0 Her experience is the easy joking banter is missing. “Did we just mess this up,<\/em>” she asked?\u00a0 He says “No, we’re fine<\/em>,” but he’s acting like somethin sup.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I believe exes should remain exes.\u00a0 Don’t go backwards. You parted for a reason. Get together when it’s fun and convenient, and be apart when it’s not. Don’t discuss the relationship. Don’t overthink it.\u00a0 Remember no matter how amicable the split, find someone else to discuss your most private thoughts with.\u00a0 For me, the magic and the fun lies in the interaction and the sexual tension, if any, so I wouldn’t do anything that dissipated that tension = no sex.\u00a0 Right now it’s about having adventures and encouraging each other in your separate dreams, being each other’s artistic muses.\u00a0 Once you have sex, that can change everything if one of you is weirded out by it.\u00a0 And you never know who will be until it happens.<\/p>\n

She was surprised it was him.\u00a0 Give the emotional body 48 hours to react.\u00a0 This is where meditation<\/a> comes in handy. If you’re a regular meditator, when these thoughts rise and fall, you can shift easily into the observer stance, and not be rocked emotionally by the waves caused by the mindstuff of the thoughts. Regular meditation gives you more discipline over your thoughts, so it’s easier to work emotions out as they arise.\u00a0 If he’s acting differently, that’s what she’ll react to. If everyone is acting and reacting, that doesn’t sound fun to me.\u00a0 Make an agreement to leave the past behind, completely, and that means day by day as well.\u00a0 That way, no matter what happens, together or apart, everyone wins.<\/p>\n

Afternote: Two days later her ex hooked up with a mutual friend, so there’s her answer.\u00a0 That’s the end of that story.\u00a0 I love when the Universe makes the decision for us.<\/p>\n
