Oh my, that awkward moment when a friend obviously not current on innuendo, gossip and hearsay, secretly messages Domino <\/a>to ask if Mr. X is single. Awkward only because Domino considers X her boyfriend. \u00a0 She’s savvy, tho,”he’s the one you should be asking<\/em>,” she says.\u00a0 Domino has dated enough musicians to know that you have to separate the man himself from his performance character.\u00a0 You can’t let things like fans and groupies get in the way of what you and he have.\u00a0 That’s just his job.\u00a0 The sex appeal, the flirting adds to the dream and the dream attracts the income.\u00a0 Depending on where he is with his music projects, don’t expect him to give any real time to anything other than what’s on his “let’s get this demo done” To Do List.<\/p>\n

Don’t expect him to keep any personal time promises at this time since his head’s just not in it.\u00a0 If he’s out gigging, don’t hound him but show up if he asks, and make zero demands on his time until you’re back home.\u00a0 Ignore his female fan interaction, they come to the shows and buy the merch.\u00a0 Most of all, any personal questions that come up, especially if it involves you and you think you know the answer, refer them to him<\/em>.\u00a0 As close as you feel you are, you don’t really know where you fit into his agenda of getting his projects completed and available.\u00a0 And don’t ask where you fit in. You may not want to know the answer to that question.\u00a0 You might just be the free rent and transportation \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0Don’t expect it to be anything other than it is – ever, and when it stops being fun, be elsewhere.<\/p>\n

When I find something that’s kinda fun to do, although I may not want to do it the rest of my life, I don’t want to deny myself having fun adventures in the moment with people who make me laugh<\/a> and feel playful.\u00a0 When we find it’s becoming less fun, I always want to chat about it to fix it fast so I can get on with my happy life. So if that means cutting out like half of the fun stuff we used to do, so be it.\u00a0 We continue to do the other stuff that we both genuinely share an interest in and have a fun time doing.\u00a0 Whoever feels dissatisfied with what’s going on at any point, they have the right to express it and chat it out.\u00a0 No matter how far you feel you need to compress down the time spent together in order to make them like the magically fun and and enchanting times of yore, it’s absolutely worth it. Quality over quantity, any time. And give him the room to follow his dream without thinking you have to be included in every part of it.<\/p>\n
