A friend asked me if I’d seen Long Island Medium<\/a> yet and I had not. \u00a0He said he has a problem, that no psychics are able to read him. \u00a0I told him that few can read me but that’s because my experience is many “readers” are giving a canned speech which they give to 80% of everyone and it’s so general and vague that 80% of the people can think it applies to them. \u00a0 And when they’re unseasoned, they don’t know that it’s obvious to someone when they are doing that.<\/em> <\/span>\u00a0There would be so many more good psychic readers if they just believed in their ability to develop their skills, and keep them honed.<\/span> \u00a0The aura changes when they fall out of guidance and into their practiced “advice.” It changes when they get a psychic flash which they recognize as a thought popping into their head, a thought they feel compelled to speak aloud. If they’re smart, they meditate to learn to distinguish their random thoughts from the thoughts of guidance. If they don’t begin to train to distinguish the voice of guidance, they may think they have to voice every “thought” aloud.<\/span><\/p>\n

I used to think every time I had a psychic flash about someone, that meant I needed to tell it to them. This happened a lot in the 90’s, in restaurants, at Jiffy Lube, in the post office. Anywhere I was with a group of people. Some appreciated it. Some did not. Some wanted to eat their pancakes and not hear that they need to get their obstructed colon checked out, that it would be fine but they need to get in to see someone this week. <\/span><\/p>\n

One woman was giving her husband holy hell with some stupid little criticisms and I was compelled to butt in and let her know she was going to get an upsetting phone call, but that everything would be ok, there would be an accident but no matter how it initially looks, it will be fine, just hold it in her heart that it would be fine and she can help everyone else be calm about it as well, she can be the strength in the situation. She just looked at me blankly, I was kneeling down at their table, which was next to my table. I turned and told the husband the same thing and gave him my card in case he wanted to find me. <\/span><\/p>\n

He did, they received the call hours later, their son was in a serious accident, 2 years later fully recovered with car insurance settlement dollars in the bank. But the mother avoided me after that, she’s someone I see in the markets. The price you pay.<\/span><\/p>\n

One question is, did my ego want to make her stop giving her husband sh*t and that’s why it pulled something out of the air to distract her with? Was that my way of punishing her for berating him in public, as if it’s any of my business?<\/em><\/span> My first thought when I’d see that used to be, “Honey, I’m sure you have bigger fish to fry than that.” and then I’d use the spidey sense to see what was coming up for them. It’s like I was looking for trouble, like I thought I had to teach them a lesson.<\/span> I was arrogant + passive aggressive, never a good combo for a lightworker. But when I realized what I was doing, I stopped it.<\/span><\/p>\n

I also had the revelation that I didn’t have to tell everything I saw. Just because I’m meant to see something doesn’t mean I’m meant to tell it. An important obligation of a psychic reader is to correctly assess the ability of the one she is speaking to, to accept the information she is about to give out.<\/em><\/span> The ego just wants to give the info and get the kudos for bringing the message through. The soul work is in deciding what to give and what to withhold, and examining your reasons for each. All, of course, in a split second’s time.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

When I made it my mission to give people hope in the face of adversity, my spidey sense began to morph. I began asking to see the next big thing for them, and also to know the good that will come from it. For some people, it helps to dangle the carrot of the good to come, so they can emotionally make it through the troubled times they will wade through first. <\/span><\/p>\n

I point them one step PAST the problem. Like a firewalk, focus not on each burning coal before me, focus on the open arms awaiting me at the end of the walk. <\/span><\/p>\n

Like breaking the board with your hand, don’t focus on breaking the board, focus on bringing your hand down 8 inches beneath the board. Keeping the focus on the step PAST where the resistance is, is what moves you easily through the resistance. <\/span><\/p>\n

Letting someone know they can be the strength for the others during the troubled time gives them a focus and gives them meaningful work to do. Some will be up to the task and others won’t. If they’ll need a shoulder to lean on, I ask guidance to give me a name to direct them to. I’ve learned to look ahead and ask every step of the way.<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s funny, I don’t know why but it just popped into my head, on that show Mob Wives,<\/a> Rene is very emotional and dramatic, way over the top as in you’re-giving yourself-a-stroke<\/em> over the top. I have her rants muted most of the time. \u00a0If she had ever come to me for a reading, I guarantee that guidance would not have given me anything that would distress her. It would have pointed out good things coming up and made them the focus. I don’t attract very many wacky or unstable clients, so it’s unlikely she and I would ever cross paths. We don’t vibe. I don’t have what she wants, which is fuel for the fire to keep her enraged. She’ll have to go to someone who vibes in that place.<\/span><\/p>\n

There would be so many more good psychic readers if they just believed in their ability to (really) develop their skills. \u00a0Anyone can do it, it’s not a gift some have and some don’t. \u00a0Anyone can develop the skills.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

And as far as psychic readers not being able to read you? \u00a0Not everyone with an M.D. should be practicing medicine, either. \u00a0In every field, there are those who are good at their job, there are misguided but well meaning wanters-to-help and there are charlatans to be found. \u00a0In every field, this is no different.<\/span><\/p>\n
