{"id":16763,"date":"2011-09-23T14:02:16","date_gmt":"2011-09-23T18:02:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\/blog\/?p=16763"},"modified":"2015-07-21T16:00:29","modified_gmt":"2015-07-21T21:00:29","slug":"why-do-i-have-time-for-some-friends-and-not-others","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\/blog\/why-do-i-have-time-for-some-friends-and-not-others\/","title":{"rendered":"Why do I have time for some friends and not others?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve always got a lot of things going on at once, it&#8217;s how I operate. \u00a0I spend much of each day and evening on the phone for work, so I seldom make social phone calls. \u00a0I haven&#8217;t had time for anyone since the end of July when I <a href=\"http:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\/blog\/?p=16535\" target=\"_blank\">began readying my rental <\/a>for the market. \u00a0I&#8217;ve got a buddy I often call from the car for a quick hello\u00a0when I&#8217;m out and about. \u00a0Sometimes I just want to hear a friendly voice of someone I know in person and hear a few minutes about their day to stay connected with them. \u00a0Everyone knows all about <em>my<\/em> day, I blab it all over <a href=\"http:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\" target=\"_blank\">the magazine<\/a> and this blog. \u00a0So when I call and ask, after not speaking for a week or two, &#8220;So what have you been doing?
