I wrote on Facebook yesterday: \u00a0“Yay, I just had an early meeting cancel, I’m going for a walk!<\/em>” \u00a0\u00a0I thought I’d pay bills before I left, so I signed into online banking. \u00a0 I pulled up my accounts and was about to go to Bill Pay when I refreshed the screen and saw they’d just recorded an overdraft protection and there was a big minus amount in my personal account. \u00a0I’m good about staying on top of my banking, so I quickly went thru my check register alongside the statement and found I’d paid a 4 figure bill out of the wrong account. \u00a0Instead of my walk, I got to spend the morning transferring funds, running charges, opening mail, making up a deposit and running to the bank. \u00a0That’ll teach me to pay attention. Or to keep an extra few thousand in each account just in case.<\/p>\n

I thought how perfectly the day unfolded. \u00a0I’d scheduled an 8:00am meeting with Wayne Wirs<\/a> and I woke up thinking what a nice day to be outside. \u00a0I was glad we’d scheduled to meet at a local park – my favorite office. \u00a0As it turned out, I had an email waiting from Wayne that we’d have to reschedule, so I decided to go to the park myself.<\/p>\n

Had I met with\u00a0Wayne Wirs<\/a> as scheduled, I’d have missed seeing the overdraft protection notice come on the screen as I was paying bills. \u00a0Since Wayne freed my time\u00a0up, I had the morning available to take care of my big goof right away. \u00a0I love how that happens. \u00a0Check out his article in the July 2011 Horizons Magazine.<\/a><\/p>\n

A friend wrote, “Why did you attract that?” \u00a0I laughed and answered, “LOL \u00a0I love you, you always know the question is WHY and not how. I know HOW I did it: I was vibing in a scattered place, which is not the place to vibe if I’m doing serious dollar transactions. WHY I did it is likely to remind me to be more mindful. I caught it before I got hit with any charges, but it’s a big lesson all the same.<\/p>\n

Yes, I’d been scattered when paying bills last time and yes, I knew better. \u00a0But I know when things like this happen, there will be a synchronistic chain of events that helps make it all better pretty quickly. \u00a0I always enjoy reviewing in retrospect exactly what played out. \u00a0It reinforces for me that\u00a0I live a pretty magical life.<\/p>\n

Is my life magical and so I believe it, or do I just think it will be magical and it is? \u00a0Either way, I win.<\/p>\n
