{"id":1158,"date":"2009-01-05T16:45:21","date_gmt":"2009-01-05T21:45:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\/blog\/?p=1158"},"modified":"2009-01-05T16:45:21","modified_gmt":"2009-01-05T21:45:21","slug":"brothermine-hears-the-seneca-guns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/horizonsmagazine.com\/blog\/brothermine-hears-the-seneca-guns\/","title":{"rendered":"Brothermine hears the Seneca Guns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Monday January 5, 2009\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 My brother, who lives just outside Greenvlle, SC, wrote me this morning: &#8221; The other night, while the grandkids were here, we were awakened by what  sounded like an extremely large explosion.\u00a0 Even though there was a light rain,  there was not lightening or thunder.\u00a0 This sounded more like a bomb going  off.\u00a0 The lights didn&#8217;t flicker like in a storm or when one of the transformers  blow, and I didn&#8217;t hear any sirens to indicate the fire department or police were  responding to anything.\u00a0 My next thought was a sonic boom, but I didn&#8217;t hear any jet engines.\u00a0 After  doing a little research, I find that in <a title=\"NC Seneca Guns\" href=\"http:\/\/www.geocities.com\/captsilversteele\/ghosts\/seneca.html\" target=\"_blank\">North<\/a> and <a title=\"Seneca Guns\" href=\"http:\/\/espanol.wunderground.com\/blog\/palmettobug53\/archive.html?year=2008&amp;month=08\" target=\"_blank\">South Carolina,<\/a> and an area of NY, there is an unexplained phenomenom called the Seneca Guns. <!--more--> Anyway, it&#8217;s interesting to be woken up by loud, unexplained  noises.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I &#8211; Andrea &#8211; had heard of the Seneca Guns before.\u00a0 I Googled it and found the phenomena known as the Seneca Guns, has been going on for hundreds of years.
