Why I Shout Out To Psychic Friends To Help With Missing Persons and Criminal Investigations

Yesterday I wrote Asking Psychic Friends For Info in the Melbourne Beach Death of Nurse Kelly Brennan and the next post was Realtor Sheila Trott, Estranged Wife of former Mayor, Arrested in Beachside Slaying of Recovery Room Heart Nurse Kelly Brennan.  I’d posted on Facebook asking my psychic friends to take a moment to read the story, tune in to the matter and email any specific info that might be helpful.  I do a shout out like that when there are missing persons or crimes like this, that it would be helpful to have the blanks filled in to save investigation time. It gives a chance for all the Facebook friends who promote their psychic services to put their skills to work.

Unlike you see on tv, if you get a psychic flash and waltz into the local police department with it, they aren’t going to drop everything and get right on it.  You either end up spending hours filling in a report and talking to officers who think you’re personally involved, or you’re simply dismissed as a crackpot seeking attention.  I’ve talk to enough people on a weekly basis the past 20 years that I see a lot of patterns and synchronicities others don’t see, simply because of the volume of people I hear daily.  Through the years I’ve developed relationships with some law enforcement investigators who listen when I let them know I see a pattern in the impressions several psychics have seen, and they will take the information seriously and get involved.

That’s why I ask for input.  If I ask for comments on Facebook, I get tons of them.  If I ask people to send me a private message rather than post it for everyone to see, I get about a third of the response.  And about a third of that response often shows a pattern that is helpful or that was, in retrospect, absolutely accurate.

In retrospect in a case, it is always easy to see what information was true.  The hard part is, when someone gives you 25 details, and the first 18 are not applicable, it’s easy to mark the psychic off as ineffective.  In retrospect – in this theoretical case – had the final seven leads been followed, they could have cracked the case wide open and given the investigators information that led to an early conclusion.  An early conclusion means leaving everyone free to move on to the next important case.

How much of a filter is between the actual information and the words that appear after it’s been run through the psychic’s brain, with its perceptual overlay of cultural, economic, religious, political, and whatever else overlays might color the truth? A desire for attention is a big filter over what info passes accurately through you.  One psychic may see a bald dark man lying on the grass with tattoes and an earring, while another psychic may see a latino man with a shaved head lying on bermuda grass with oak leaf deadfall in the shade of a palm frond with a chain link fence in the background, with several tattooes he recognizes as a rival gang to the neighborhood the body is found in.  The second psychic’s filter of culture was helpful since it let him recognize the tattooes as particular gang signs and the face and body type as being characteristic of, say, Peruvian Andes.

What was my spidey sense on the Sheila Trott murder of Kelly Brennan?  When I read Sheila’s name in the first article, I thought, so obviously the prime suspect for the lover’s triangle, she’s going to tell someone who’s going to tell someone, and dismissed it and went back to work.

What spidey sense impressions or intuitions do you dismiss?  I have learned through the years that I am no good at psychic impressions during final layout week for the magazine, when I’m up to my ears in math and deadlines.  I’ve learned to keep myself in silence as often as I am able, and learn to develop my skills in the silence, without the filters of constant background sound and mindless chitchat.  Developing my skills in the silence allows me to have them available during the chaotic times when they are called for.

I’m far more intuitive now than I was when I was a lot more social.  I’m not saying cut out your personal life, just maybe, if you’re interested in deepening your intuitive skills, take a break and spend time only with those friends who are doing the same thing, and take it as seriously as you want to.  Here’s 20 tips on becoming  psychic.

So when I do the shout out, if you get impressions, please send them to me, no matter how unrelated they seem.  This is what we’re here for: to combine our skills to help the most people.  In a real and daily way.  Andrea
