Sitting in my woods reflecting on who I really Am and what I’m really here for

I’m loving the 15 degree temperature drop.  It’s 61 degrees as I sit out at the firepit with a cup of hot kava, sweat pants on and hair down.  I love 60 degrees! I’m a 50-72 degree gal, anything in that range and I’m digging it.  Watching the waxing moon overhead through the oak canopy, I can see the little dipper to the east over the treeline. I turned the fans off about midnight and took a walk around the hood as a walking meditation.  It felt good to wander around the ‘hood in the midnight hours again.  When the weather is warm and humid, it’s like walking underwater but with misquitoes added.  As soon as temps drop, though, I’m ready to be outside.    Continue reading

Why I never ask for advance registration at an event

Universal energy lesson: Don’t schedule classes and workshops if you’re going to cancel if a minimum of ___  don’t sign up in advance.  The signal that sends to the Universe is that it’s about the money, not the love of the work.  Back in the day, I did many a workshop that was attended by very few. Sometimes no one I invited came, but new people did.  I never pre-register for anything. I’m a commitment phobe, even buying ripe bananas brings up my commitment issues.  If I am available at the time of an event, I go.  But if I schedule an event, I will give the presentation if only one is there.  It’s not for me to ask why or who, it’s just for me to show up and do.  If you schedule a class or workshop and only one person shows up, accept that’s all you were able to attract and give them the entire teaching as if it were a room full. They are your multitude. The signal that sends to the Universe is you’re committed to the work, and they’ll send you more next time. I promise.
